A method includes receiving a request to allocate an instantiation of a network function and information indicative of resource needs of the instantiation. The resource needs include at least one resiliency requirement. The method includes computing a resource map comprising a global tier and a regional tier and comparing the resource needs with the resource map to determine an allocation solution. The method also includes, based on the allocation solution, allocating resources to the instantiation. The resources include a first resource of the global tier and a second resource of the regional tier.

Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture disclosed herein can be used to identify an internet domain to which an encrypted network communication is targeted. A disclosed method includes collecting a plurality of unencrypted communications with a domain name server, and identifying, by executing an instruction with a processor, network traffic patterns associated with the unencrypted communication based on a combination of routing information, internet protocol flow data, and internet transactions associated with the plurality of unencrypted communications with the domain name server. An example disclosed method further includes determining, by executing an instruction with a processor, and based on the network traffic patterns associated with the unencrypted communications, the internet domain to which the encrypted communication is to be delivered.

A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device receiving diagnostic information from a plurality of client devices delivering media content, wherein the diagnostic information relates to a media delivery service quality and wherein the diagnostic information is sent automatically by the client devices; performing a data compression procedure for the diagnostic information; transmitting compressed data comprising the diagnostic information to an aggregator device; and sending to the client devices a message to delay or prevent transmission of additional diagnostic information in accordance with an instruction received from the aggregator device. A disclosed example apparatus to process an element management system (EMS) query message includes a receiver to receive the EMS query message from a managed network element, the EMS query message being redirected from an EMS server, a responder to select a pre-determined response to the EMS query message and discard EMS information contained in the EMS query message, wherein the pre-determined response is to delay the managed network element from resending the EMS query message to the EMS server for a time period, and a transmitter to send the pre-determined response to the managed network element.
