An application server that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, web interface for receiving a client request from a web server operating within an interactive TV network and application logic operatively coupled to the web interface for executing source code and generating HTML code according to the client request where the application logic is operatively coupled to a database that serves as a repository for executable source code, images and user information indexed according to the client request where the application logic receives the executed source code from the database and supplies the HTML code to the web server by way of the web interface and where the web server submits to a client device that generated the client request the HTML code for rendering a presentation at the client device. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Network architecture and method for application deployment

A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, an Internet Protocol Television system having a controller to create a template defining a format of presentation of an webpage or HTML page using an iTV or IPTV application system, receive a request for the page from a subscriber of the iTV or IPTV system. The system can access application system subscriber data for the subscriber and a presentation of the page is dynamically adapted according to the application system subscriber data. In one alternative at, the page can be dynamically adapted by changing in content or by changing a look and feel of an HTML page or webpage. In another alternative, the webpage or HTML page can be dynamically adapted by modifying graphic user interface elements based on the application system subscriber data. Method and apparatus for creating dynamic webpages in a media communication system

A method includes receiving a first request from a first user device for first data, where the first request identifies a first data source and sending a first data access request to the first data source, where the first data access request is based on a first reader object associated with the first data source. The method also includes receiving the first data from the first data source, where the first data has a first format, and transforming the first data to normalized data in a normalized format based on the first reader object. The method further includes selecting a first presentation object from a database comprising a plurality of presentation objects based on a first device type of the first user device and transforming the normalized data to output data in an output format based on the first presentation object.

Dynamic content presentation

A computer-implemented method includes receiving, at a computing device, a request from a user device to access requested data. Based on the request, a reader object is selected that specifies data access information associated with accessing data from a particular data source. Computer-implementable access code is dynamically instantiated to access the requested data from a data source based on the reader object and the request. A data access request is sent to the data source based on the computer-implementable access code. The requested data is received from the data source and a presentation object is selected that specifies data output information associated with the reader object. Computer-implementable output code is dynamically instantiated to output the requested data based on the presentation object. Output data, including the requested data, is sent to the user device in a presentation format specified by the computer-implementable output code.
