A printing fluid container () for use in a printing system is described. An example container includes a base () and a light transmissive side wall (). The side wall extends from the base to define a chamber () for receiving and storing printing fluid within the container. The side wall has an internal surface () facing the chamber, said internal surface comprising a channel (). The channel comprises a portion () indicating a height from the base, the height representing a predetermined fill amount. The channel is configured such that when the chamber contains printing fluid, printing fluid resides within the channel () and indicates the predetermined fill amount.

Provided in one example is an articulating housing for carriage assembly of a printer system, the articulating housing comprising an articulating housing coupling part for establishing an articulated coupling between the articulating housing and the carriage assembly, as well as a carriage assembly and a printer system comprising such an articulating housing.

One example provides an article. The article includes a container body. The article includes a lid covering the container body, the lid including a lid aperture to permit passage of a printing fluid into the container body. The article includes a lid manifold mounted to the lid. The lid manifold includes a lid manifold input port to be fluidly connected to and disconnected from a container manifold port of a separate printing system. The lid manifold includes a lid manifold output opening that is in the form of a needle having a length of less than or equal to about 6 mm and is fluidly connected to the lid aperture. The lid manifold includes a channel fluidly connecting the lid manifold input port and the lid manifold output opening.

In an example, there is provided a closure device. The closure device comprises an air-permeable and ink-impermeable membrane to prevent ink egress from a refillable ink tank of a printer. The membrane has an ink tank side and an air side. The closure device also comprises a tortuous air flow path connecting the air side of the membrane to an exterior of the ink tank.

One example provides a replaceable cartridge for user-installation in a printer system. The replaceable cartridge includes a cartridge body, a cartridge lid and a lid manifold. The cartridge lid covers the cartridge body and includes a lid aperture to supply printing fluid into the cartridge body. The lid manifold is mounted to the cartridge lid and includes a lid manifold input port to be fluidly connected to and disconnected from a carriage manifold of the printer system. The state of the fluid connection depends on a pivot position of the carriage manifold, if the replaceable cartridge is installed in the printer system.

A printing fluid container for a printing fluid source for a printer system, wherein the printing fluid container comprises a sealing material layer being arranged in a closure device printing fluid outlet opening, the sealing material layer having a fluid outlet condition, in which the sealing material layer is pierced by engagement of a fluidic interconnect device of the printing fluid source and the closure device printing fluid outlet opening, as well as a printing fluid source, a printer system, a printer system arrangement and a method of filling a printing fluid source.

A replaceable printing fluid supply carrier for a continuous ink supply system of a printer is described in some examples. The printing fluid supply carrier comprises a printing fluid container carrier and a cover part connected to the printing fluid container carrier. When the printing fluid supply carrier is installed to the printer with a supply door opening an opening to a printing fluid supply area the cover part covers the opening to the printing fluid supply area.

Examples include printing devices configured for use with a plurality of replaceable supplies. A remaining amount of printing material may be monitored for each replaceable supply. A set of one or more replaceable supplies to be replaced may be determined based at least in part on the remaining amount of printing material for each replaceable supply and an amount of printing material corresponding to performing a service routine for supply replacement.

In one example of the disclosure, environmental data indicative of an environmental factor measured at a printer is received via a network. The receipt of the environmental data is via an authorized non-anonymous data flow from the printer. Instructions for a service event to occur at the printer are determined based upon the environmental data. The service event instructions are sent, via the network, to the printer to cause the printer to perform the service event.

An ink cartridge is disclosed that includes a single cast reservoir portion of a first polymer configuration, the reservoir portion including raised walls that extend up to a top edge, the raised walls including a back wall. A latch handle protrudes from the back wall. A single cast lid is attached to the top edge. The lid is of a second polymer configuration that is stronger than the first polymer configuration.

Liquid supply or reservoir therefore having multiple compartments, each compartment to hold a distinct liquid, comprising multiple liquid outlets, each fluidically connected to one of the compartments, multiple clearance cut outs disposed at a pitch equal to a pitch of the compartments to accommodate protrusions of a dispenser, and at least one latch protruding outwards from a supply wall.

In one example, a group of printing fluid cartridges in which each cartridge includes: a reservoir; a printing fluid outlet from the reservoir; multiple electrical contacts arranged next to one another across the cartridge with an interface along the cartridge between each pair of adjacent electrical contacts; and multiple guideways next to the electrical contacts lengthwise and configured to align the cartridge to a receiver when the cartridge is installed in the receiver. Each of the guideways spans exactly one of the interfaces widthwise and is configured to simultaneously align the electrical contacts to corresponding electrical contacts on a receiver and to discriminate the cartridge from other printing fluid cartridges to prevent the cartridge from being inserted incorrectly into a receiver.

A fluid container ship cap seals a plurality of fluid interconnects of a fluid container during one or both of shipping and storage. The fluid container ship cap includes an elastomeric seal having a plurality of fluidic sealing members to seal a corresponding plurality of fluid interconnects. The fluid container ship cap further includes a rigid shell to rotate the fluid container ship cap about an axis of rotation at a fulcrum provided by a first fluidic sealing member of the plurality of fluidic sealing members. The elastomeric seal is affixed to the rigid shell.

An apparatus, such as a flow restriction apparatus, is provided. The flow restriction apparatus includes an ink outlet perforating through a tank wall of a printing fluid reservoir of a user-refillable inkjet printer system. The ink outlet facilitates fluid communication between the printing fluid reservoir and an inkjet pen of the printer system. Printing fluid from the printing fluid reservoir enters the ink outlet from the printing fluid reservoir under suction pressure exerted by the inkjet pen. A screen is located inside the printing fluid reservoir and separates the printing fluid reservoir from the ink outlet. The screen is ink permeable. The screen includes a screen aperture having an effective radius smaller than a meniscus of a droplet of printing fluid at atmospheric pressure within the printing fluid reservoir.
