An improved threaded connection for joining tubulars for oil and gas field operations forms connected tubular strings. The improved threaded connection includes a one piece coupling comprising a body with an outer surface an inner surface and a central axis, a first tapered edge, a second tapered edge, first and second bearing faces for supporting load, weight, or both of the connected tubulars, a plurality of torque stops, and radial metal to metal seal surfaces. As the inner surface of the body is swaged onto each tubular, the inner surface of the body deflects away from the central axis, providing a plurality of bands of high contact pressure at each metal to metal seal between the inner surface of the body and each connected tubular to sustain seal pressures at the threaded one piece coupling.

Threaded connection

A threaded coupling for joining tubulars for oil and gas field operations forming connected tubulars. The threaded coupling has a body with an outer surface, an inner surface and a central axis, a first tapered edge, a second tapered, and a first coupling bearing face and second coupling bearing faces for supporting load, weight, or both on the connected tubulars. As the inner surface of the body is swaged onto each tubular, the inner surface of the body deflects away from the central axis, providing a plurality of bands of high contact pressure for each metal to metal seal between the inner surface of the body and each connected tubular to sustain seal pressures between the threaded coupling.

An apparatus comprises a first number of splines located near a first end of a first joint section and a second number of splines located near a second end of a second joint section. The first number of splines extends in an axial direction of the first joint section and spans a circumferential surface of the first joint section. Each of the first number of splines has a base, a tip, and a pair of flanks that extends from the base to the tip and forms an acute angle. Each of the first number of splines are configured to be received between adjacent pairs of splines in the second number of splines as the first end of the first joint section and the second end of the second joint section are joined.

Threaded coupling

An apparatus includes a first pin and a second pin. The first pin has a first joint section. The first joint section has first holes extending a length of the first joint section and terminating at a first preload face. The second pin has a second joint section. The second joint section has second holes extending a length of the first joint section and terminating at a second preload face. The second joint section is adapted to receive the first joint section and the first holes match the second holes when the first pin and the second pin are mated.

A system for recording oil and gas inspection data comprising an inspection database server; a server-side vendor inspection database; at least one inspector client device; an inspector-side vendor inspection database; at least one customer client device; wherein at least one inspector inputs oil and gas inspection data to the inspection database server; wherein the inspection database server comprises computer instructions for instructing the inspection database server to provide at least one report; wherein the at least one inspector client device and the at least one customer client device are operable to access the oil and gas inspection data, the at least one report, or combinations thereof; and wherein the computer instructions instruct the inspection database server to formulate the at least one report for selected oil and gas inspection data and communicate the at least one report for viewing by at least one customer upon demand.

Computer-implemented system for recording oil and gas inspection data

A system for use in a wellbore using a tubing string formed from a plurality of connected tubulars. The tubulars are connected by a tubular threaded seal connector. The tubular threaded seal connector includes a coupling body. A first seal engagement portion is formed on the coupling body adjacent to a first shoulder formed on a portion of the J-area, and second seal engagement portion is formed on the coupling body adjacent a second shoulder formed on another portion of the J-area.

System for use in a wellbore

The tubular threaded seal connector includes a coupling body for engaging a first pipe and a second pipe. A first coupling end is on the coupling body. A first chamfer is adjacent to the first coupling end.

Tubular threaded seal connection

A system for continuous asset verification for at least one piece of well equipment using at least one radio frequency identification tag comprising: at least one radio frequency identification tag for removably attaching to at least one piece of well equipment; a first processor for storing information about the well equipment and for communicating the information to the radio frequency identification tag; a transportable data storage device for receiving and storing from the first processor the information; a controller comprising a second processor adapted to engage with the transportable data storage device, thereby forming a smart controller, wherein the smart controller is adapted for scanning for radio frequency identification tag at least one predefined interval to detect the information; a third processor for communicating with the transportable data storage device and storing the information.

System for continuous asset verification

A method for continuous asset verification using at least one radio frequency identification tag for at least one piece of well equipment comprising: writing information about the well equipment into a transportable data storage device; engaging the transportable data storage device with a controller forming a smart controller; encoding the information onto at least one radio frequency identification tag; removably attaching the radio frequency identification tag to the well equipment; transporting the well equipment with the smart controller to a site and scanning the well equipment with the smart controller during at least one predefined interval during transport; and writing the stored scanned radio frequency identification tag information from the transportable data storage device to data storage in communication with a third processor.

Method for continuous asset verification

A device for shifting a sliding sleeve. The sliding sleeve is concentrically positioned within a well, and wherein the well is in communication with a hydrocarbon reservoir. In the most preferred embodiment, the device comprises an outer housing forming an annulus with the well and a power piston slidably disposed within the outer housing. The power piston includes an upper shoulder configured to form an annular chamber and a tubular chamber relative to the outer housing, a lower shoulder configured to form an atmospheric chamber relative to the outer housing. The device further comprises a first latch for preventing upward movement of the power piston, a second latch for preventing downward movement of the power piston, and wherein movement of the power piston shifts the sliding sleeve.
