A portable misting fan in which the user controls the spray mist and the fan operation separately. A lower compartment stores a fluid and a pump provides the pressure to propel the fluid through a delivery tube to a spray nozzle. The flow of fluid to the nozzle is controlled by a valve that is operated by the user pushing a button. An upper compartment houses a fan which is powered by batteries and provides an air stream that is directed to the user. The fan is mounted in a fan housing in the upper compartment that is pivotally connected to the upper housing. There axe passageways in the fan housing and pivot connection for receiving the fluid delivery tube and electrical wires so that all they are all internal to the misting fan.

Floor sweeper with cloth cleaning pad

A floor mop for cleaning a surface by wet mopping in which the mop has a spray nozzle mounted in the mop head. There is a handle connected to the mop head by a universal joint. A cloth is removably mounted on the under surface of the mop head for easy replacement when it is soiled or worn out. A fluid tank is mounted in the mop head. A pump is connected to the fluid tank. A wireless signal generator is mounted on the handle for sending a wireless signal to a receiver in the mop head for activating the pump for spraying fluid onto the surface to effect wet mopping when the wireless signal is received.

Sweeper head

A light weight floor sweeper having a very low profile sweeper head that uses a sweeping brush and cleaning pad to slide across the surface to be cleaned. The floor sweeper head is mounted to an elongated handle by means of a universal pivot or universal joint which allows the floor sweeper head to easily pivot about the handle in any direction to pick up debris under over hanging cabinets or under furniture. A sweeping brush is mounted on the bottom of the sweeper head to provide sweeping action as the floor sweeper is moved in any direction. Furthermore there is a soft cleaning pad releasably mounted adjacent to the brush to entrap dust and particles that the brush does not pick up. The brush is powered by a small electric motor. A removable dust-receiving tray is mounted in the sweeper head to receive debris swept by the brush.

A light weight floor sweeper has a sweeper head mounted to an elongated handle by means of a universal pivot or universal joint which allows the floor sweeper head to easily pivot about the handle in any direction to pick up debris under over hanging cabinets or under furniture. The floor sweeper has sweeping brushes mounted around all four sides of the sweeper head to provide sweeping action when the sweeper is moved in any direction. There are corner brushes extending out from the sides of the sweeper head that reach into corners to sweep debris toward the main sweeping brushes. All of the brushes are powered by a small electric motor that drives the brushes to direct the debris into a dust-receiving tray in the sweeper head. A gasket arrangement keeps dust and debris out of the gear housings located at each of the corners of the sweeper head regardless of the direction in which the sweeper head is moving.

The floor sweeper has sweeping brushes mounted around all sides of the sweeper head to provide sweeping action in any direction. Furthermore there are corner brushes extending out from the sides of the sweeper head that reach into corners to sweep debris toward the main sweeping brushes. All of the brushes are powered by a small electric motor. The motor drives the brushes to direct the debris into a dust-receiving tray in the sweeper head.

A hand held cleaning device that has a self wringing mechanism for extracting liquids from a flexible cleaning element. A wringer mechanism is mounted at the end of an elongated handle. A slidable mop head base is mounted on the bottom of the handle and slides along the elongated handle. When the mop head is moved from its first cleaning position, the flexible cleaning element is drawn through the wringing assembly to remove absorbed liquids from the cleaning element. A pivotal gate opens, allowing the mop head and cleaning element to pass back through the wringing mechanism to assume its original cleaning position. In an alternate embodiment the mop head is attached to the elongated handle and the wringer mechanism is mounted for slidable movement with respect to the elongated handle.

Self-wringing string mop

A hand held cleaning device that has a self wringing mechanism for extracting liquids from a sponge mounted at the end of an elongated handle. A sleeve is mounted on the handle and slides from a first position to a second position. When moved to the second position, it operates a wringing assembly mounted on a lever mechanism. There is a second cleaning element mounted on a moveable frame member that pivots and wrings the liquid from the sponge and moves the second cleaning element over the first cleaning element. In this second position, the moveable frame is positioned between the sponge and the second cleaning element with the second cleaning element contacting the surface to be cleaned.

Wringable mop with pivoting scrubber head

A hand held mop, broom or scrubber device in which the cleaning head has two cleaning elements. In one embodiment, a self-wringing mop having an elongated handle with a rigid base frame assembly is attached to the bottom end. The base frame has opposite planar surfaces with a sponge element on one of the surfaces and a scrubbing element on the opposite surface. The base frame is pivotally connected to the bottom of the elongated handle such that it pivots between two positions; a first position with the sponge oriented on the floor and a second position in which the scrubbing element is positioned on the floor. An actuator mounted on the lower half of the handle has a roller mechanism and a spaced force opposing member mounted on an end thereof. When the sponge element is saturated, the user slides the actuator towards the bottom of the elongated handle. This causes the base frame assembly to pivot to an intermediary sponge wringing position and the sponge element is drawn past the roller mechanism. The sponge is compressed between the roller and base frame assembly wringing absorbed fluids from the sponge element. The sleeve is drawn back to its initial position and the base frame assembly is allowed to pivot to either of its original position or can be pivoted to another position. In another embodiment, the cleaning head has two brushes or a brush and a scrubber on the head.

Hand held cleaning device

A broom for cleaning a surface having a bristle cleaning mechanism. The broom has a handle with a grasping end and a cleaning end. At the cleaning end is a comb member having a plurality of tines. The comb member pivots into and out of engagement with the bristles as a sleeve or handle is moved along the broom handle. The tines engage the bristles as the grasping portion is pushed downward such that the tines push trapped dirt and dust out from the bristle ends. As the slidable sleeve is pulled back into its original position, the tines disengage from the bristles and return to their original position.
