A fixture for aligning tiled displays is provided. The fixture includes a frame. The fixture further includes a vision system supported by the frame, the vision system configured to image at predefined display corner positions defined by given display dimensions. The fixture further includes an attachment mechanism configured to attach the frame to an array of tiled displays each having the given display dimensions, such that the vision system images positions of the array corresponding to respective corners of a tiled display in the array, and adjacent display corner positions.

Fixture for aligning tiled displays

A coupler and a system are provided for mounting panels, such as a plurality of display tiles. According to an embodiment, the system includes a mount sheet having a plurality of mounting positions, a plurality of chassis having at least one locating feature and at least one magnetic coupler on one side and at least one magnet on an opposite side. The locating features on one side of the chassis are adapted to locate a locating feature on at least one display tile. The magnetic couplers on one side of the chassis are adapted to magnetically couple at least one magnetic coupler on a display tile. The magnet or magnets on an opposite side are adapted to magnetically couple the mount sheet in one of the mounting positions.

Modular mounting system

A light emitting diode (LED) module and display for hiding physical gaps between modules is provided. An LED module comprises: a board including at least one edge; and an array of LEDs at the board, the array comprising: first LEDs and second LEDs, smaller than the first LEDs, the second LEDs located along the at least one edge of the board, the first and second LEDs all being at a common pitch distance, adjacent sides of adjacent first LEDs separated by a first distance, and the second LEDs being at a second distance from the at least one edge of the board, the second distance smaller than the first distance. The modules may be incorporated into an LED display.

According to the present specification there is provided a system for mounting a plurality of display units, which system comprises a display locating component that is substantially two-dimensional. The display locating component defines a surface having a profile, and the display locating component has a plurality of mounting positions each at a predetermined position on the display locating component, each mounting position configured to receive at least one of the display units. The system also comprises a plurality of adjustable mounts configured to: support the display locating component, and adjust the profile of the display locating component to within a given profile tolerance.

System for mounting a plurality of display units

An apparatus for removing a display from a tiled display arrangement is provided. The apparatus includes a body, a handle coupled to a first side of the body, and an interface material coupled to the second side of the body. The interface material is configured to temporarily bond to a front surface of the display for removing the display from the tiled display arrangement. The interface material is further configured to selectively de-bond from the front surface of the display. In some implementations, the interface material may be selected to result in a bond with high tensile strength and shear strength, as well as low peel strength.

Apparatus and method for tiled display removal

An LED display system having an LED module for reducing dark line defects. LED modules arranged adjacently in an LED display system form seams therebetween. An LED module for reducing dark line defects includes a set of imaging pixels for generating an image and a set of illuminating pixels for generating seam illumination through the seams. Seam illumination is directed through the seams directly or by a reflector integral with or attachable to the LED module or to a coupling assembly of the LED display system. The illuminating pixels may be controlled to track colour or intensity of the image being generated by imaging pixels.

A tiled display rotational assembly is provided. The system uses panels connected by hinges, the panels configured to mount at least one display on each panel. A first panel has an extending hinge portion with a first bearing surface attached to an edge while a second panel has a receiving hinge portion with a second bearing surface attached to an edge. When the extending hinge portion is inserted into the receiving hinge portion the extending hinge portion and the receiving hinge portion together define an axis of rotation about which the panels may rotate.

For use in an imaging system having a plurality of adjacent display units, the improvement comprising a thermal actuator in at least one of the display units for moving a screen thereof away from a chassis thereof when the said display unit exceeds a predetermined temperature, so as to prevent mechanical interference between the adjacent display units.

An expanding chassis for an imaging unit is provided, the expanding chassis for use in imaging systems having a plurality of imaging units arranged in an array. The expanding chassis comprises a rigid frame for housing a light engine and related circuitry, and for mounting a screen on a front surface of the rigid frame for use with the light engine. The expanding chassis further comprises at least one expandable interface pad on at least one side of the rigid frame. The rigid frame and the expandable interface pad have a combined thermal expansion characteristic that provides an overall expansion in the expanding chassis that substantially matches the expansion of the screen.

An apparatus for weighing a stent includes a buffer for storing a stent support with a stent mounted thereon, a stent mounting and dismounting assembly that mounts and dismounts the stent from the stent support, a robotic arm for moving the stent support with the stent between the buffer and the stent mounting and dismounting assembly, and a scale assembly for weighing the stent. The stent mounting and dismounting assembly moves the stent into the scale assembly after the stent has been dismount from the stent support.
