Examples relate to load balancing servers. In one example, a computing device may: receive a network packet from a source device, the network packet including data specifying a value; divide the value included in the network packet by a divisor; determine, from a plurality of servers, a destination server for the network packet based on a remainder of the division; and forward the network packet to the destination server.

Server load balancing

Examples include fabric management devices. Some examples include a fabric management device to manage a network fabric. The fabric management device comprises a serial interface to connect to a network device of the network fabric that provides power and data to the fabric management device, a processing resource, and a machine-readable storage medium with instructions executable by the processing resource. The machine-readable storage medium comprises instructions establish communication across the serial interface with the network device via a fabric management device driver, discover a topology of the network fabric, wherein the network fabric comprises a plurality of network devices, and monitor a set of network performance metrics of the plurality of network devices. The machine-readable storage medium further comprises instructions to dynamically configure the network fabric based on the set of network performance metrics.

Fabric management devices

Data requests for data stored in a non-volatile media may be monitored and used to identify if the media is being used as memory or storage. The accessibility of the data may be modified based on the identified usage model.

Modifying accessibility based on memory access patterns

In some examples, a system receives a context of an application to request a set of network traffic, the context including a requested behavior of a service enabled by the application, and provides a policy to a network device of a network, the policy to regulate the set of network traffic based on the context, the policy provided to the network device to cause the network device to route the set of network traffic based on applying the policy, the routing comprising forwarding the set of network traffic to a destination or denying transmission of the set of network traffic to the destination.

Policy based on a requested behavior

Some examples provide a system to automatically discover network devices. The system enables a network device discovery protocol with a transmit mode and a receive mode on a network device. The system enables an auxiliary communication protocol on the network device. The system broadcasts the network device discovery protocol records from the network device including local neighbors and connectivity information. The system engine processes topological information using the auxiliary communication protocol and timing cycles to update age of a set of topology information records.

Automatic discovery

In one implementation, an example system may include a policy engine. The policy engine may receive a context of an application to request a set of network traffic and provide a policy rule to a network device of a network path. In another implementation, an example system may identify a party and a requested behavior of the service and maintain a context to determine a policy rule to regulate a set of network traffic associated with the service based on the party and the requested behavior. In another implementation, an example method may comprise receiving a service request and an authentication, identifying a party, identifying a behavior, and deploying a policy to a network device of a network based on the party and the behavior.

Policy rule based on a requested behavior

A distributed network instrumentation system () includes a security management station () including a global network policy decomposer () configured to decompose global network security policies to local security policies for distributed policy enforcement, and a network interface () communicatively coupled to a compute platform (). The network interface () is configured to off-load processing of the local security policies and end-to-end encryption from an operating system () of the compute platform () for facilitating network instrumentation.

Distributed network instrumentation system

A scalable, multi-tenant network architecture for a virtualized datacenter is provided. The network architecture includes a network having a plurality of servers connected to a plurality of switches. The plurality of servers hosts a plurality of virtual interfaces for a plurality of tenants. A configuration repository is connected to the network and each server in the plurality of servers has a network agent hosted therein. The network agent encapsulates packets for transmission across the network from a source virtual interface to a destination virtual interface in the plurality of virtual interfaces for a tenant in the plurality of tenants. The packets are encapsulated with information identifying and locating the destination virtual interface, and the information is interpreted by switches connected to the source virtual interface and the destination virtual interface.

Scalable multi-tenant network architecture for virtualized datacenters

A network includes at least two core local area network (LAN) fabrics, each including a first core switch cluster deployed at a first sub-core and a second core switch cluster deployed at a second sub-core different from the first sub-core. The network also includes a multi-port link aggregation group to link the first core switch cluster and the second core switch cluster.

Core network architecture

A secure service delivery network, including a service delivery compartment connected to deliver services to a plurality of client networks. The secure service delivery network includes a first firewall connecting the service delivery compartment to a first virtual local area network. The secure service delivery network includes a plurality of firewalls each connecting one of the plurality of client networks to the first virtual local area network, whereby no communications between the plurality of client networks can be made over the first virtual local area network.
