Compositions for enhancing soil nutrients

Fertilizer

Compositions and methods for enhancing nutrient uptake in plants are disclosed. The primary ingredients of the disclosed compositions are (a) poly amino acids, such as tri-polyaspartic acid (TPA), and (b) citric acid. Another component, (c) L amino acids may also be included in the composition. The composition may be used to enhance fertilizer efficiency and to promote plant growth and/or yield.

Compositions for enhancing plant nutrient uptake and method of their use

Liquid fertilizer compositions and methods of making liquid fertilizer compositions are set forth herein. In one embodiment, a liquid fertilizing composition includes an aqueous ammonium chloride solution and an acrylamide copolymerized with acrylic acid. In another embodiment, a liquid fertilizing composition includes an aqueous ammonium chloride solution having a pH between 6.5 and 8.5 and an anionic polyacrylamide. The anionic polyacrylamide is present between 0.5 and 1.0 percent by weight. In yet another embodiment, a liquid fertilizing composition consists essentially of at least 16.5 percent by weight ammonium chloride, between 0.5 and 1.0 percent by weight acrylamide copolymerized with acrylic acid or salt thereof, an effective amount of corrosion inhibitor, and water.

Liquid fertilizing compositions

Liquid fertilizer compositions and methods of making liquid fertilizer compositions are set forth herein. In one embodiment, a liquid fertilizing composition includes an aqueous ammonium chloride solution having a pH between 6.5 and 8.5, a dispersant selected from anionic polyacrylamides, and a corrosion inhibitor. In another embodiment, a liquid fertilizing composition includes an aqueous solution having a pH between 6.5 and 8.5. The solution includes at least 16.5 percent by weight of ammonium chloride and between 0.5 and 1.0 percent by weight of dispersant. In yet another embodiment, a liquid fertilizing composition has a pH between 7.5 and 8.5. The composition consists essentially of at least 16.5 percent by weight ammonium chloride, between 0.5 and 1.0 percent by weight dispersant, an effective amount of corrosion inhibitor, and water.

A screwless computer drive assembly is provided wherein a drive mounting bracket or computer chassis is equipped with lock sliders which, when engaged, compress flexible, flanged tabs into corresponding holes located on the computer drive. The lock sliders slide along the outside of the drive mounting bracket causing the flexible tabs to flex inward resulting in the ends of the tabs engaging the holes. Once the tabs have engaged the holes in the drive, the drive is securely held in place.

Screwless computer drive assembly

An electronic throttle control system having a housing with a motor, throttle valve, gear mechanism, and fail-safe mechanism. A spring member attached to a gear member and default lever, and which is biased when the throttle valve is in its fully open and closed positions, operates to open the throttle valve in the event of an electric failure, thus allowing the vehicle to limp home. The spring member, default lever and associated gear member are interfit together as a group and inserted in the housing as a subassembly, thus improving assembly time and expense.

Electronic throttle control system

A low-cost, fluidized-bed drying process for the production of solidified alkaline earth salts is provided which is especially useful for the production of MgCl.sub.2.6H.sub.2 O from a starting brine nominally containing MgCl.sub.2.12H.sub.2 O. The process includes the steps of passing the starting brine into a drying chamber (12) and fluidizing the brine by contact with hot air for a period of from about 1-15 minutes while heating the brine to a maximum temperature of from about 200.degree.-275.degree. F. This creates a molten salt product, which can then be cooled using ambient air to yield the desired final product. Preferably, the brine is heated to a temperature of from about 230.degree.-250.degree. F., and is subjected to fluidizing contact with hot air for about 5-8 minutes. Ambient air cooling is accomplished by contacting the intermediate melt with ambient air for a period of from about 10 seconds to 3 minutes.
