A ceramic heating resistor to be arranged in a tubular element of an electrical heating element for heating a fluid, preferably air, wherein the heating resistor can be produced by sintering a green body comprising at least one ceramic raw material. The heating resistor includes an electrically insulating component and an electrically conducting component, and the electrically insulating component forms a matrix in which the electrically conducting component is accommodated. An electrical heating element for heating a fluid, preferably air, including at least one tubular element, through which a fluid flows or can flow, and to a device for heating a fluid, preferably air, including at least one such heating element.

An automatic welding machine for lap welding the edges of plastic webs, comprising a movable supporting frame, a heating device for partially melting the plastic webs, at least two opposing, counter-rotating pressing rollers and/or advancing rollers, at least one of which being driven, and at least one driving device comprising a drive motor and at least one gearbox for driving the pressing and/or advancing rollers, wherein the pressing rollers and/or advancing rollers are driven by the driving device by way of at least one flexible shaft. Furthermore, the gearbox can be implemented as a worm gear mechanism comprising a worm that is seated directly on a motor shaft of the drive motor and two counter-rotating worm gears driven by the worm.

Automatic welding machine

An automatic welding machine, comprising a supporting frame and a tensioning device for reversibly joining at least two opposing booms to one another and applying a tension force between these, having an open position in which the opposing booms are separated from one another by a gap and a closed position in which the opposing booms are joined to one another and braced with respect to one another. One boom is mounted in a torsion-proof manner on the tensioning device and is pivotable in relation to the other boom and can be moved out of the open position into the closed position by the pivoting of the tensioning device. The tension force is generated by way of a spring-loaded element disposed on the tensioning device, wherein the spring-loaded element, at one end, is rigidly connected to a supporting element of the tensioning device and, at the other end, is pivotably mounted on the supporting frame by way of a double swivel joint, and the spring-loaded element is tensioned by the pivoting of the double swivel joint out of the open position into the closed position, whereby a torque is applied onto the pivotable boom.

A hot-wedge welding device for overlap welding plastic webs, comprising a hot wedge, a pressure device for pressing the plastic webs against the hot wedge which comprises a respective pressure unit associated with one of the hot-wedge flat sides, and further comprising two mutually opposing pressure rollers. The hot wedge is pivotably mounted on a bearing shaft by way of a bearing bushing, which extends between the two hot-wedge flat sides parallel to the hot-wedge front edge at a distance therefrom. The hot wedge is mounted to have defined degrees of freedom with respect to the bearing shaft in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction of the bearing bushing, which in addition to the rotational movement of the hot wedge about the transverse axis thereof, also allow a tilting movement of the hot wedge about the longitudinal axis thereof and a vertical displacement of the hot wedge.

The hand-held hot air device, preferably for the local heating of thermoplastic materials, with a housing that forms a wand-shaped handle part with air inlet openings, and with an air guidance tube that protrudes from the handle part and radially delimits an air canal, with an electric heating element contained in the air guidance tube and an electric motor with a fan wheel contained in the handle part, and with an electronic control system arranged inside the handle part with one semiconductor power switch each arranged upstream of both the heating element and the electric motor, and with a display screen and an operating device for the hand-held hot air device arranged on the outside of the handle part. The electronic control system is implemented as microprocessor control system, the display screen as an electronic digital display, and the operating device as a digital operating device, with the digital operating device comprising a single universal operating element that is movable in at least two directions relative to the handle part for the purpose of switching the hand-held hot air device on and/or off and for determining control data of the microprocessor control system.

The invention relates to a hand welding extruder () for welding thermoplastic materials by means of a plasticized plastic strand () having a plasticization worm unit () connected to a drive motor () by a gearbox (), and having a hot air generation device () with an external air supply, the plasticizer worm unit, the gearbox, the drive motor, and the hot air generation device being disposed in a common housing. The proposed hand welding extruder has a bar-shaped housing having a front welding segment () and a grab handle () connected thereto in the longitudinal direction. The plasticizer worm unit and the hot air generation device are disposed in the bar-shaped housing in the welding segment and an electric motor () is disposed in the grab handle. The electric motor is connected to a shaft of the extruder worm () via a gearbox, the gearbox being potentially provided in the grab handle and/or the welding segment of the bar-shaped housing of the hand weld extruder.

Extruder welding device

An automatic welding machine for planar plastic materials, such as sealing sheets, tarpaulins or films, the chassis, in the welding position, in addition to being carried by the driving unit and the pressure device, also being carried by a rigid guide wheel, preferably in the front region of the chassis. With respect to a pressure roller running essentially on the welded overlap region, the guide wheel is arranged in such a way that, during the welding, it runs along the bottom plastic material parallel to the edge of the top plastic material. In addition, the guide wheel has a narrow running surface. During the welding, the guide wheel runs along the edge of the overlapping plastic material and the pressure roller runs essentially on the weld region. Due to this configuration, the automatic welding machine can follow the edge in such a way as to keep to the track, so that guidance by the operator or frequent corrections of the welding direction are not necessary. This leads to an increased weld quality and also to a higher welding speed. There is less interference from the background or due to the welding device swinging in laterally.

Hot-air device with a heating element situated in a stream of air, with a carrier consisting of temperature-resistant material and heating wires located in the air channels, and with at least one metal mount for the carrier, wherein the temperature-resistant material of the carrier comes into at least partial electrical contact with the metal mount, and is connected to a device for interrupting the heating circuit, which, during heating, interrupts the heating circuit when a threshold value is reached owing to the measuring current discharged over the insulating material and the contact element. The direct and very quick measuring principle enables a simple and inexpensive protection of the heating element, as well as control and regulation without additional sensors. It is possible to control or regulate the hot-air temperature of the hot-air device via the measuring current.

Hot-air device

Drive device for a handheld heater unit for welding plastic sealing webs and sheets, which is equipped with a heater device for heating the plastic sealing webs and sheets which are to be welded. The drive device has an elongate housing with a pressure-exerting and driving roller, by means of which the joining force can be applied in the vertical direction with respect to the plastic sealing webs and sheets. Furthermore, there is a coupling unit for joining the housing to the heater unit, in such a manner that the longitudinal axes of the housing and of the heater unit run substantially parallel to one another. In the housing there is a motor, which drives the pressure-exerting and driving roller, the height and/or distance of which with respect to the heater device is adjustable. The drive device together with a corresponding heater unit allows quicker, more accurate and therefore better-quality welding of the plastic sealing webs and sheets in manual welding applications, since the user only has to concentrate on applying the joining force. It is therefore possible to produce welds on plastic sealing webs and sheets on inclined and vertical walls, overhead, in U-shaped recesses or grooves and in corner regions.
