A method of manufacturing a floor board comprises the steps of supplying a panel, printing a curable substance or surface removing substance onto the panel in a predefined pattern for creating an elevation on the panel at the pattern or removing a portion of the surface of the panel at the pattern, respectively, and curing the curable substance or removing any reaction products of the surface removing substance and the panel.

Method of manufacturing a floor board

A method is provided for manufacturing a panel. The method may involve supplying a substrate having an upper side. A layer may be provided onto the upper side. The upper side may be irradiated so as to cure at least a part of the layer by irradiation, hence forming the panel. The layer may include a liquid coating on substantially the entire upper side and a substance which is digitally printed locally on the upper side. The substance and the liquid coating may cooperate such that either (1) the coating and the substance react with each other, whereas the substance is a liquid that is printed on the upper side before the coating is applied and wherein the substance and the coating have different surface tensions, or (2) the coating is non-curable or only curable to a limited extent by the irradiation, whereas the substance makes the coating curable by the irradiation at locations where they meet each other.

Method of manufacturing a panel

A method is provided for manufacturing panels having a substrate and a decorative top layer that may include a printed motif and a transparent or translucent protective layer formed there above. The method may involve providing the substrate. A finishing layer may be applied for forming a portion of the protective layer. Recesses may be formed at a surface of the finishing layer. Forming the recesses may involve applying a surface structure-altering agent that is colored.

A floor panel includes several side edges extending in the peripheral direction of the floor panel behind one another and separated from one another by a corner, and a plastic top surface delimited by the side edges. A method of manufacturing a press plate for applying a surface structure onto a floor panel, wherein the press plate includes a press plate surface, comprises the following steps: first fine projections are created on the press plate surface, then the resulting fine projections are covered by a surface treatment resistant material, and subsequently the press plate surface including the resistant material is submitted to a surface treatment.
