A wheel unit of a vehicle having a rim on which a tire is mounted, and having a hub which can rotate about an axis of rotation (T), wherein the hub includes a hub body in which a control element that is mounted such that it is displaceable relative to the hub body in the direction of the axis of rotation (T) between a first position and a second position is accommodated. A fluid channel which fluidically connects the tire to a first space formed between the control element and the hub body is configured in the rim. In the first position of the control element, a fluidic connection between the first space and a second space formed between the control element and the rim is interrupted, whereas, in the second position of the control element, a fluidic connection between the first space and the second space is established.

A rotary transmission device for transmitting control and/or working pressures to a wheel hub. The rotary transmission device has a housing structure in which a piston element is displaceable between a first and a second position relative to the housing structure and relative to a running body of the wheel hub which is mounted so as to rotate relative to the housing structure. To transmit the control and/or working pressures, at least one pressure medium channel is formed in the piston element. In the first position, an air gap is present between an end face of the piston element on the running body side and an end face of the running body on the piston element side, while in the second position, no air gap is present, and the at least one pressure medium channel opens in sealed fashion into at least one pressure medium channel formed in the running body.

A system () for transmitting control pressures and/or working pressures from a wheel-hub pressure medium supply (), in particular from a wheel-hub pressure medium rotary union (), to a vehicle rim () mounted on the wheel hub (). The receiving part () can be connected to the wheel hub () by means of the at least one radially projecting extension region (), in a detachable way, and the control pressures and/or working pressures can be transmitted from the wheel-hub pressure medium supply () to the opening ().
