A contactless communication device is capable of communicating in a contactless way with a reader by using active load modulation. Each frame is preceded by a reception period. An antenna is configured to receive a reader signal during each reception period, and to receive a reader carrier signal and transmit a modulated device carrier signal to the reader during each frame. A processor is configured to carry out, in each reception period, a first synchronization between a signal originating from the reader signal received at the antenna and a device carrier clock signal device generated in the device. The processor is also configured to carry out, within each frame, a modulated device carrier signal suppression process in order to obtain a processed signal, and a second synchronization between the processed signal and the device carrier clock signal.

Method and device for synchronizing signals within a contactless device

A method and corresponding device for processing a frequency-modulated analog signal are disclosed. The signal includes a number of symbols belonging to a set of M symbols respectively associated with at least one frequency of a set of M frequencies. The method includes a phase of reading each symbol of the signal that includes a sampling of a signal portion corresponding to the duration of a symbol and delivering N samples (M being less than N). M individual discrete Fourier transform processing operations are performed on the N samples. Each individual processing operation is associated with each of the frequencies. The M individual processing operations deliver M processing results. The value of the symbol can be determined from the M processing results.

Method for processing a frequency-modulated analog signal and corresponding device

A method for localizing an object, including the acts of: transmission of a first signal by a first transmitter assigned to the object and of a second signal by at least one second transmitter; reception of the first and of the second signal by at least three receivers; in each receiver and for the first and the second signal: a) generation of a first and of a second reference signal; b) correlation between the first signal and the first reference signal and between the second signal and the second reference signal; c) interpolation of samples resulting from the correlation; d) deduction of the propagation time of the first and of the second signal; e) calculation of the difference between the propagation times of the first and of the second signal; and, by triangulation, deduction of the position of the object.

Method for localizing an object

A frequency shift of a carrier frequency of an input signal is estimated with a frequency estimator in order to obtain an estimate value. Then, the estimate of the frequency shift is refined, and the carrier frequency is corrected in consequence, with a phase-locked loop that is initialized with the estimate value. The phase-locked loop has a locking frequency range that is narrower than a locking frequency range of the frequency estimator.

Method and device for processing the frequency shift of the carrier frequency of a signal modulated with a quadrature continuous single-carrier modulation

A method and a circuit for decoding a coded signal including a first decoding system capable of receiving the coded signal and of providing a first signal comprising portions considered correct and a second decoding system capable of providing a second signal from the coded signal and from portions considered correct of the first signal.

Receive circuit

An integrated circuit includes a dual-conversion tuner, firstly upconverting so as to place a signal outside the reception band, then downconverting with zero intermediate frequency. A bulk acoustic wave type filter is calibrated in such a way as to accurately determine its central frequency. This filter is positioned between the two frequency transposition stages of the tuner. After baseband filtering, the signals are digitized then processed in a digital block BNM which includes a channel decoding module.

Electronic component allowing the decoding of digital terrestrial or cable television signals

An input/output terminal receives a multi-channel analog signal within a predetermined frequency band, and transmits a single-channel analog signal within this frequency band. A tuning module has a reception channel based upon a two-stage down conversion to baseband, and is connected between the input/output terminal and an analog-to-digital conversion stage. A transmission channel based upon a two-stage up conversion is connected between a digital-to-analog conversion stage and the input/output terminal. The two channels include a common filter of the bulk acoustic wave type or of the surface acoustic wave type between the two frequency transposition stages of the two channels. A digital reception unit is connected to the output of the analog-to-digital conversion stage, and a digital transmission unit is connected to the input of the digital-to-analog conversion stage.

Electronic component notably for decoding signals modulated by a digital quadrature modulation over a large number of orthogonal carriers

An integrated superheterodyne dual-conversion tuner upconverts a signal so as to place it outside a reception band, and then downconverts the signal with a non-zero intermediate frequency. A first filter of the bulk acoustic wave type is positioned between the up and down conversion and is calibrated in such a way as to accurately determine its central frequency. A second filter of a microelectromechanical type receives the downconverted signal and is calibrated in such a way as to accurately determine its central frequency.

Electronic component with integrated tuning device, allowing the decoding of digital terrestrial or cable television signals

A demodulation device is provided that includes first and second power control circuits and demodulation circuits. The first power control circuit keeps the amplitude of a modulated input signal constant, and the demodulation circuits applying a demodulation processing to the input signal. The second input signal power control circuit generates a control signal having a signal present state representing detection of the presence of the input signal and a signal disappeared state representing detection of disappearance of the input signal. The demodulation device further includes means for deactivating the demodulation circuits when the control signal changes from the signal present state to the signal disappeared state, and for activating the demodulation circuits when the control signal changes from the signal disappeared state to the signal present state so as to enable a fast restart of the demodulation processing.

Demodulation device for reacquiring a modulated signal if reception is interrupted

In a calibration phase for a tuner of the DZIF type, N calibration frequency signals are generated at an input of a filter. The N calibration frequency signals have N calibration frequencies corresponding respectively after transposition to N analysis frequencies at an input of a Fourier transform. An amplitude and a phase of a corresponding point at an output of the Fourier transform are calculated for each analysis frequency. In a reception phase, each of the outputs of the Fourier transform is corrected with an inverse of the corresponding amplitude and opposite the corresponding phase calculated in the calibration phase.
