A rotor assembly is provided for an electric motor. The rotor assembly includes: a cylindrical magnet member having magnetization in both axial and radial directions, the magnet member being formed from a moldable magnetic material; and an output shaft receivable within the magnet member. An inner surface of the magnet member and an outer surface of the output shaft have complementarily-engagable interface elements thereon to prevent or limit dislocation of the magnet member and output shaft, and at least one of the interface elements is formed by overmolding of the magnet member and output shaft with the other of magnet member and output shaft.

Rotor assembly for electric motor

An actuator () has a casing () and an output (). An electric motor () is disposed in a compartment () of the casing (). The output () is driven by the motor () through a gear train disposed within the casing (). The gear train includes a worm () on a shaft () of the motor () and a worm wheel () meshed with the worm (). A mounting clip () is arranged to resiliently press the motor () into the compartment). The mounting clip () has fingers () which engage axial ends of the motor () to support the motor () against axial movement and separation due to axial loading and/or external vibrations acting on the actuator ().

Vibration safe motor fixation in an actuator

A linear actuator has a stator with two stator coils and pole plates forming stator poles. A rotor is rotatably mounted to interact with the stator poles. The rotor has a hollow cup shaped permanent magnet fitted to a screw shaft. An output shaft, which is co-axial with the rotor, is driven by the rotor through a screw connection. The rotor is supported by a single rotary bearing located within the magnet, axially between axial ends of the permanent magnet.

Linear actuator

A bearing holder for fixing a bearing to a support structure such as a casing of a gearbox uses a single plate-like body. The body has a through hole, a plurality of hooks extending from a first side of the body and defining a first axial step limiting the axial movement of the bearing through the hole, and a plurality of projections extending from a second side of the body and arranged to be radially deformed to define a second axial step limiting the axial movement of the bearing through the hole in a second axial direction. Centering lips extending inwardly from the edge of the hole may be provided to fix the lateral position of the bearing.
