A heating element including: (I) a substrate equipped with a thin-film multilayer, the thin-film multilayer including a heating film that has an electrical sheet resistance lying between 20 and 200 ohms per square, and two nonmetallic dielectric films located on either side of the heating film; and (II) two conductive collectors designed to receive a voltage, where the heating film is unpatterned, made of metal, and electrically connected to the two conductive collectors.

The invention relates to the use of a material having a spinel ferrite/iron monoxide structure as a sensitive material in the form of a thin film for the bolometric detection of infrared radiation, the chemical composition of said structure, excluding doping agents that may be present, having empirical formula (I): (FeM)O, where x is strictly less than 1 and strictly greater than 0.75. The invention also relates to a bolometric device for infrared radiation detection and infrared imaging, comprising at least one sensor provided with a sensitive element in the form of a thin film as defined above.

The invention relates to solar-control glazing comprising a glass substrate and a solar-control thin-film multilayer, said thin-film multilayer incorporating a film selectively absorbing infrared radiation having a wavelength longer than 800 nm, said absorbing film consisting of a titanium oxide substituted with an element X chosen from Nb or Ta, the atomic percentage [X/Ti+X] lying between about 4% and about 9% and the thickness of said absorbing film lying between about 20 and about 200 nanometers.

The subject of the invention is a material comprising a glass substrate coated on at least one of its faces with a thin-film multilayer comprising, starting from said substrate, at least one lower dielectric layer, at least one functional layer made of a metal or metal nitride, at least one upper dielectric layer and at least one layer of titanium oxide at least partially crystallized in the anatase form, said metal or metal nitride being based on Nb, NbN, W, WN, Ta, TaN or any of their alloys or solid solutions.

A transparent substrate having a glazing function, provided with a thin-film multi-layer coating, which acts on solar radiation, applicable, for example, in the architectural or automotive fields. The multilayer coating comprises at least two absorbent functional layers each flanked by two transparent layers comprising a dielectric material. Preferably, the functional layers are based on a metal belonging to the group consisting of: niobium, tantalum, molybdenum and zirconium, and the metal or at least one of the functional layers may be partially or entirely nitrided.
