The invention proposes a novel weighing method and a device for exactly determining the weight of a continuous stream of bulk material. The stream is conveyed without interruption into a tubular weighing machine (1). A blocking slide valve (4) is cyclically closed and opened and the weight increase per unit time is measured, the slide valve (4) being closed in each case, and an average is obtained from a very large number of weighing operations repeated in the same manner, and is used by computer means (5) for calculating the entire amount of bulk material. The weighing cycle is very short, in some cases less than 10 seconds, and is continuously repeated. The large number of measurements gives high statistical accuracy of about .+-.0.02%, i.e. of the same order as for a container-type weigher.

Method and device for recording the flow rate of a stream of bulk

Vessel balance for bulk material having a tubular balance section for feed therethrough of bulk material. The balance is adapted during feed intervals of the bulk material to enable determination of the weight thereof. The section cooperates with a feed flap adjacent one of its ends to govern entry of the material into the section and has a closing member at an opposite end. The section and member are supported by at least two weight measuring elements carried by a fixed platform.

Vessel balance

A method and apparatus for the automatic determination of a continuous bulk material through a continuous balance wherein a weighing vessel, an adjustable closure member movable in the weighing vessel for adjusting an outlet cross-section of the weighing vessel and an electronic weight difference measuring device are provided. The closure member provided in the outlet region of the vessel is so arranged that when the closure member is in the open operating position, there is a free mass flow in the weighing vessel and the bulk material flows freely and unhindered from the outlet of the weighing vessel. A control device is connected at its input to the weight measuring device and at its output to the adjustable closure member whereby a signal corresponding to the weight change in the weighing vessel per unit of time is produced, which is used for calculating the parameters of state of the bulk material flow.

Apparatus for the automatic determination of a continuous bulk material

A two-cylinder discharge for a storage silo for farinaceous bulk goods. The discharge includes a discharge hopper and at least two discharge cylinders which are supported so as to be rotatable in the discharge hopper. The two discharge cylinders include a plurality of discharge chambers arranged in a circumferential direction of the cylinders. A gap exists between the discharge chambers and guide walls of the silo.

An apparatus for the automatic filling of bags at a discharge spout of a filling hopper wherein empty bags are stored in a bag magazine in a horizontal position, the apparatus including an attachment unit hub, a frame pivotably mounted on the hub, a suction device mounted on the frame for individually removing each bag from the bag magazine and for swinging the removed bag into an essentially vertical hanging position and including a drum having suction mechanism, a spreading mechanism mounted on the frame for opening a respective bag mouth, and a holding device for holding each bag mouth tightly against the discharge spout, wherein the drum is mounted on the frame for horizontal movement and for rotation about an axis parallel to the surface of the stored bags and for movement parallel to the longitudinal axis of the stored bags upon pivoting of the frame about the attachment unit hub, such that the drum is lowered towards the stored bags so that the suction mechanism seizes the respective topmost bag of the bag magazine near the mouth of the individual bag.
