A compressor stator vane assemblage includes a first metal bushing disposed within a bore through the compressor casing and bolted to the casing by externally accessible bolts. A second composite bushing is disposed within the first bushing and receives the spindle of the stator vane. Reduced diameter portions of the spindle project through openings in the first and second bushings. A lever attaches to the spindle portion and is movable to rotate the vane. By removing the bolts, the first and second bushings can be removed from the casing for replacement or rotation of 180.degree. for prolonged service life without disassembly of the casing or removal of the stator vane.

Variable stator vane mounting and vane actuation system for an axial

An assembly for mounting a plurality of circumferentially spaced and radially extending airfoils. In a preferred embodiment the assembly comprises a plurality of arcuate mounting fairings each including a central boss having at least one radially extending recess disposed in a radially inner surface thereof which contains an elastomeric boot for receiving an end of one of the plurality of airfoils. The mounting fairing further includes integral first and second flanges extending circumferentially outwardly from opposite sides of the boss portion which overlap complementary second and first flanges, respectively, of adjacent mounting fairings. Fastening means connect the first and second flanges of adjacent mounting fairings to form a continuous annular shroud.

Turbomachine airfoil mounting assembly

According to the present invention, there is provided a turbomachine rotor assembly having a blade mounting means comprising a rotor spool defining a flowpath surface and having at least one circumferential dovetail shaped retaining groove therein. A plurality of radially extending blade members each comprising a dovetail root are positioned in the retaining groove of the rotor spool. The root comprises a pair of axially oppositely extending asymmetric shoulders having radially outwardly facing and differentially radially spaced contact surfaces for mating with complementary surfaces of the retaining groove of the rotor spool.
