A turbocharger device for an internal combustion engine and a method for mounting a turbocharger device are described. The turbocharger device has a housing with a locating hole, in which a turbocharger shaft is mounted by two rolling element bearings. A rolling element bearing sleeve is situated between the two rolling element bearings. The rolling element bearing sleeve and hence the two rolling element bearings are fixed with the turbocharger shaft in the axial direction with the aid of two pins, which are introduced through a hole in the housing and are pressed into a groove in the rolling element bearing sleeve. During this process, the beveled tips of the pins slide along the chamfered outer edges of the groove as far as an end position, which fixes the axial position of the rolling element bearing sleeve.

Turbocharger device and method for mounting a turbocharger device

Disclosed is a turbocharger for an internal combustion engine, having a bearing housing. A turbocharger rotor is mounted to be rotatable in the bearing housing about the rotor axis of rotation of its rotor shaft, wherein a turbine wheel is arranged for conjoint rotation on the rotor shaft and in a turbine housing fixed on the bearing housing. Between the rotor shaft and the bearing housing, an oil seal for sealing the bearing housing with respect to the turbine housing is arranged between the turbine wheel and a radial bearing associated with the turbine wheel in order to seal the bearing housing with respect to the turbine housing. A predetermined breaking point is formed for the turbocharger rotor of the turbocharger which lies in a breaking point region and extends axially between the turbine wheel back and an axial end, facing the turbine wheel back, of the rotor-shaft oil seal.

A turbocharger has a regulating unit for controlling the output of the turbocharger. The regulating unit can be adjusted by an actuator. The actuator is connected to the regulating unit by way of an actuating member and a lever. The actuating member and the lever are interconnected by way of a screw-nut element.

A method and a device for orienting an actuator of an exhaust-gas turbocharger which has an actuator that is equipped with an actuator housing and is connected to a control rod. First, an actuator holder is fastened to the compressor housing of the exhaust-gas turbocharger. Then the actuator is inserted into the actuator holder. Then the actuator is positioned within the actuator holder. Then a compensating material is introduced through an injection opening into a compensating-material receiving space which is provided in the actuator holder. Finally, the compensating material is hardened.

Method and device for orienting an actuator of an exhaust-gas turbocharger

A device actuates a waste gate flap of an exhaust gas turbocharger of an internal combustion engine. The device has an actuator which has an actuator rod, a lever which is connected to the actuator rod and a spindle which is connected to the lever and to which the waste gate flap is secured. A resiliently mounted ball head rod is provided between the actuator rod and the lever.

A method adjusts axial play of a journal mounted in a bearing. A bearing axis defines a z-direction. A positive z-direction points from first to second bearing ends. The journal inserted into the bearing in the positive z-direction is moved to a first form-locking engagement in the positive z-direction between journal and bearing. A spacer at the second end defines axial play. A bushing is placed onto a journal segment protruding from the bearing at the second end in the positive z-direction. A form-locking and/or force-locking connection is established between bushing and journal by deforming the bushing and locating the spacer along the z-direction between bushing and second end. The spacer contacts the bushing and second end. The spacer is removed. A device having a bearing and a journal mounted and relatively movable therein within axial play is also provided.

A turbomachine, particularly an exhaust gas turbocharger, comprising a compressor wheel arranged in a compressor housing, a turbine wheel arranged in a turbine housing, and a rotor shaft which is guided in a bearing casing and which has fastened thereto the compressor wheel on the one hand and the turbine wheel on the other hand, a rotor-shaft seal being arranged between a turbine-sided end portion of the bearing casing and the rotor shaft.
