The invention concerns a drip irrigation conduits ( ) comprising a tube ( ) designed to be connected to a pressurised water source. The tube is provided with two lateral lips ( ) superposed on each other and are formed integral with said tube. This method consists essentially in manufacturing dripper units (,) and attaching them longitudinally to a thread (,) by positioning them at intervals along the latter. For this purpose, the thread (,) is introduced into at least one notch (,) of the dripper unit (,) so as to clamp it. The width of the notch is less than the diameter of the thread. The thread fitted with dripper units is introduced into the tube (,) while the latter is being formed in an extruder so as to draw the dripper units (,) therein one after the other. The dripper units are then heat welded to the inner wall of the tube during its formation. The insertion of the thread (,) into the notch (,) is achieved via a wheel (,) onto whose the edge it is guided. In this manner, the whole method can be implemented continuously without any intermittent operations.

This method allows manufacture of an optical cable including optical fibers (1) placed in a protective sheath including two coaxial tubes (3, 5), of which the inner tube (3) which is made of plastic material, contains said fiber (1). The method consists in placing the fibers in the first tube (3) so that they have a certain overlength with respect to said tube. Then, the assembly (1, 2, 3) is surrounded by second tube (5). The second tube (5) is placed around the first tube (1) after obtaining the overlength, from a metal tape whose longitudinal edges are butted together progressive around the assembly while being fixed to each other, then the second tube (5) is shrunk against the first tube (3). A continuous tube (1) is prepared by extrusion of a plastic material. Flow regulators or 'drips' (4) are welded at intervals onto its internal wall, said drips comprising a collecting chamber, which is provided on the face turned towards the tube (1), and connected, by a narrow passage, to the interior of the tube. The tube is moved continuously in front of a non contact detector, preferably a capacitive sensor (40) which detects the beginning or the end of the passing of a flow regulator before it. One thus controls, as a function of the detector signals, perforation in the wall of the tube, of a hole connecting the collecting chamber to the exterior, with the aid of a laser (42), preferably a Nd:YAG laser and a focusing optic (44).

A sealing device for assuring a sealed junction between two ducts (3 and 11, 13) for conveying plastic material at a high temperature and under high pressure in a machine for transforming plastic material, includes a first part (2) defining the first duct (3) and a second part (9) defining the second duct (11, 13), the second part being inserted in the first duct. The second part (9) comprises at one end an annular lip (16) protruding from its external cylindrical surface and connected to the one end by a thin annular zone (17). The lip (16) has a cylindrical external surface (18) which abuts the internal surface of the first part (2) under a mechanical bias due to the dimensional tolerances of the external surface (18) of the lip (16) and the internal surface of the first cylindrical part (2).

The irrigation hose comprises two tubes disposed one within the other, at least one of the tubes being grooved. The ungrooved tube forms with the groove or grooves of the other tube continuous secondary ducts over the entire length of the hose. Inlet ports and outlet ports delimit in the secondary ducts sections of a predetermined length, each yielding a flow capable of continuously drip-irrigating a plant in the area to be irrigated. The outlet ports and the inlet ports are distributed along spiral lines if the secondary ducts are straight and along straight lines constituting generatrices of the hose if the secondary ducts run along spirals.

A sliding base is guided for vertical movement on an upright of the traverse mechanism. It bears a camera having its lens directed along a horizontal axis toward a vertical bank of lights. A drum supported by uprights and driven rotatingly by a motor can move back and forth on rails, while the traversing carriage bearing vertical rolls guiding a cable can likewise move parallel to the axis of the drum in order to check and, if neccessary, modify the approach angle formed by the incoming cable about to be laid on the winding. The silhouette of the zone of the winding where the turns are laid down is formed on a receiving surface within the camera, this surface taking the form of a photodiode grid, the periodic scanning of which yields signals sensing the conditions under which the cable is being wound.
