Disclosed is a method for the production of an organic light emitting device of the OLED type, the method including the following sequences of steps: a step of forming a stack of layers on a substrate; the stack including, successively and in the following order, a first electrode, an organic layer and a second electrode; a step of positioning a cover; a step of forming a connection pad. The method also includes: a step of fixing a first end of at least one elongated electrical connection member to an area of the connection pad covering a portion of the second face of the cover and a step of forming a layer of resist, the layer of resist being so configured as to preserve an electrical access to a second end of the elongated electrical connection member above the layer of resist.

Electrical connection of an OLED device

The invention relates to an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) comprising a stack comprising, in sequence and in the following order, a substrate (), a first electrode (), an organic layer (), and a second electrode (), characterized in that it comprises a layer of adhesive () and a cover () fixed onto said stack using said layer of adhesive (), and the cover () comprises at least one through-opening (), wherein electrical access to an electrode () is possible through said opening (). PIN-type organic light emitting diode

An organic light emitting diode (OLED) emitting light downward through a transparent substrate. The OLED embeds a microcavity formed between a cathode and an anode and includes a plurality of organic layers including a light emitting layer. The plurality of organic layers include at least a first layer made of an organic doped material aimed at enhancing the transport of electrons; and at least a second layer made of an organic doped material aimed at enhancing the transport of holes. The anode is obtained by deposition of a semitransparent layer of silver (Ag) over the transparent substrate to be directly in contact with the first doped organic layer. Then, thicknesses of the first and second doped organic layers can be freely adapted to best adjust the optical characteristics of the microcavity for the wavelength of monochromatic light to be produced by the OLED.

An organic light-emitting diode (OLED) on a transparent substrate includes a microcavity formed between a reflecting cathode and semi-reflecting anode. The microcavity includes multiple organic layers with at least one light-emitting layer. The OLED is characterized by a transparent planarization layer between the substrate and an upper metallic layer forming the OLED semitransparent anode. A process for making such an OLED is also described.
