An intermediary support structure that includes a linear or rotational actuator to move the single display tile from a first position in a first plane along a predetermined path to a second position in the first plane. The first position is a loading position of the single display tile in the tiled display and the second position is a position in which the single display tile lies when installed in its operative position in the tiled display. When the single display tile is located in the first position, there is a distance between the loading position and the operative position, the linear or rotational actuator is configured so that the distance becomes smaller as the single display tile is moved along the predetermined path towards the second position. The linear or rotational actuator is accessible and remains accessible until an adjacent display tile is covering an access to the actuator.

Alignment mechanism and methods for installation of tiled displays

An intermediary support structure including fasteners for fastening to a back side of a display tile and further includes a fastener or a fastening device for fastening the intermediary support structure to a support structure supporting multiple display tiles.

Alignment mechanism and alignment methods for tiled displays

A tiled display having discrete luminous sources distributed over at least two adjacent flexible display tiles, each arranged to drive the discrete luminous sources on it when connected to a power supply and when receiving data and control signals; where the power, data and control signals are provided to the tiles trough conducting tracks formed on a carrier substrate, where at least one of the conducting tracks extends from one edge of the carrier substrate to the opposite edge of the carrier substrate.

Tiled display and method of assembling same

A positioning device and a fastening device to fix the relative position of two or more adjacent tiles on a tiled display and to provide alignment. Fixing the relative position of two adjacent display tiles will facilitate the alignment of tiles in tiled displays where the seam between tiles will be as regular as possible, thereby avoiding the introduction of misalignments and their associated visual artefacts. The positioning device allows linkage of it to at least two tiles of a tiled display. The display tiles are often rectangular in shape and the positioning device is then located at a corner of the tile. The positioning device can also be attached to a support structure to make a tiled display.

Positioning and alignment device for tiled displays

A method and system are described for adjusting displaying of images to be displayed on a display system. The method is suitable for display systems comprising at least one hardware feature (f, f, f) influencing the display uniformity of the displaying of images, such as e.g. a defect pixel, seams, variations in positions of hardware components, etc. The method comprises obtaining pixelated image information to be displayed on a display system (), and adjusting the displaying thereof by applying a distributed variation correction signal to the displaying of the pixelated image information. Such a distributed variation correction signal thereby takes into account the at least one hardware feature (f, f, f) of said display system () so as to influence the perception of the display uniformity.

Reducing visibility of display errors

The present invention relates to a light emitting device assembly. Such a LED assembly comprises a plurality of lamp-type light emitting devices, each of said lamp-type light emitting devices having a light output side and side walls. The plurality of lamp-type light emitting devices are directly or indirectly connected to each other via said side walls. The latter allows to obtain a compact LED assembly with high brightness.

Drive circuitryfor the light emitting elementis connected thereto by the electrical connectionsand spaced apart from the heat sinkin such a manner that at least one cooling channelis defined between the heat sinkand the drive circuitryfor the passage in use of a cooling fluid.

Light emission display arrangements

A pixel module for use in a large-area display has a cluster of sequentially interconnected similar pixel modules that are driven by a central controller. The module includes pixel elements that have a serial video data bus input, and command input lines that are electrically connected to inputs of a latch. The latch has parallel inputs and outputs which are clocked with a data dock input. Also included are a current driver device for driving the pixels, a first inverter for driving the data clock input, an address input connected to a second inverter, an EEPROM connected to the input port, and a power supply.

Pixel module for use in a large-area display

A display pixel module for use in a configurable large-screen display application, with an array of pixels () mounted at the front () of the module () and provided with input and output connectors (), characterized in that at least some of the side walls () and of the upper and lower walls () are tapered inwardly, enclosing an angle (A) with the front () and in that it is provided with mounting means to fix the module on a mounting surface of a display.
