A pneumatic brake booster includes a drive piston actuating a master cylinder by a push rod while being returned to rest position by a return spring. The brake booster has a vibration damper having a part made of an elastic material working compressively, of overall parallelepipedic shape, with a length greater than the spacing of two coils of the spring prior to its installation in the brake booster and whose front and back faces are equipped with a longitudinal slit penetrating the material mass of the damper for engagement by way of those slits on the two coils of the return spring.

Pneumatic brake booster

A vacuum operated brake booster, comprises a casing including a base defining at least one hole, and at least one tube extending through the casing and configured to receive a screw for fastening the brake booster to a wall of a passenger compartment of a vehicle. The tube defines a rear end with a peripheral fold forming a rear groove, and an extension extending beyond the rear groove, the extension defining a first outer edge and being configured to be folded toward an outer side of the tube to form a crimping lip. The at least one hole is bordered by a recessed ring having a form complementary to that of the rear groove of the rear end of the at least one tube. The extension is configured to be folded above a second outer edge of the recessed ring and blocked in the groove.

A vacuum brake booster includes a housing in which a piston is accommodated, the piston being supported by a cylindrical body sealingly passing through an opening in the bottom and having a key that engages with the return element of the cylindrical recess. A damping element separates the front of the key from the rear of the base supporting the piston and the bead of the membrane.

A vacuum-operated brake booster includes a housing which consists of a bottom and a cover having an intermediate piston through which tubes, through which attachment screws are to pass, extend. The front end of the tube is threaded, and a peripheral groove is provided behind the thread, a flange being crimped in the groove behind the cover in the housing. The master cylinder is attached via the lugs thereof, which are fitted into the front end of the tube against the front surface of the cover and locked by the nut screwed onto the thread. The front end of the tube has a peripheral groove receiving the flange that consists of a ring and a sleeve, the lip of which penetrates into the groove by crimping. A gasket completes the seal.

A sensor feeler device for a brake booster. The sensor feeler device () includes an axially moveable cylinder (), the movement of which can be controlled by the control rod which is itself controlled by the brake pedal, a sensor feeler piston () able to move axially in said moving cylinder (), and a spring () that tends to push the sensor feeler piston () forward and keep its front face substantially in the same plane as the front face of the moving cylinder.

A reaction device wherein a ratio of input force to output force for a brake booster is sequentially changed during a brake application. An actuation force derived from a pressure differential acts on a movable wall and is communicated through a cage as an output force to an push rod. The output force is a functional ratio of the input force as modified by a reaction disc and elastic means during a brake application.
