Systems and methods of the present disclosure relate to a method for online monitoring, without the need for sampling and in real time, the precipitation of inorganic salts in aqueous streams related to the petroleum industry. A set of collected NIR spectra is correlated with data provided by FBRM through a mathematical (chemometric) treatment and mathematical models based on artificial neural networks combined with principal component analysis were employed to estimate the quantity and size distribution of particles precipitated over time. The application of these process analyzers helps to understand the formation and growth of inorganic salt particles from the produced water (rich in carbonates and sulfates), which can precipitate at different stages in oil production and transportation facilities.

Method for monitoring the precipitation of inorganic salts in aqueous systems

The present invention relates to an apparatus for salt precipitation and scaling tests, which comprises two reagent storage tanks (), a reagent mixing module (), induction period measurement modules (), an ultrasound-assisted precipitation module () and a scaling module with heat exchanger (). From the apparatus, it is possible to carry out tests with the purpose of investigating the influence of parameters such as flow rate, temperature and concentration on salt precipitation and scaling. It is further possible to carry out tests under the action of ultrasound, since it promotes acceleration of chemical reactions.

The present invention proposes the use of a tool () that is connected to a device for locomotion, such as, for example, a robot, and provided with an umbilical cable () to bring about a controlled reaction near the blockage, in order to remove it. In order to carry out that controlled reaction, an injection, and control system is used, which may be a closed loop control system.

In order to meet the objectives described above, the present invention provides a robot for detecting breakdown of NORM (Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials) in a production system, in order to plan operations to remove scale containing radioactive material, and for decommissioning subsea system operations. The fields of application are the area of flow assurance and reservoir management, using operations to chemically remove scale containing NORM in the production system, and to improve the safety of the decommissioning processes of production systems. The invention allows the position of the scale inside the production system to be safely detected, such as, for example, the beginning of the deposit inside a production line, the extension of the deposit, and the end of the deposit, as well as whether the deposit occurred at different points along the production line.

Subsea robot and method for detecting norm breakdown in a production system

The present invention addresses to a system that aims at reproducing situations close to those found in oil wells, in relation to the thermodynamic conditions (pressure and temperature), and the fluids present (by means of the chemical species involved), aiming at representing in a more realistic way the production scenarios to be faced. The main scope is to represent on a laboratory scale the phenomenon of depressurization with the release of carbon dioxide inducing the precipitation of calcite (calcium carbonate), the growth and agglomeration of inorganic crystals, and the phenomena of adhesion and scale on common metallic surfaces of elements of completion of oil wells.

The object of the invention is to solve the problem of casing and string collapse of production or injection wells, which occurs due to cooling caused by injection of completion fluids into the well, by applying heat to the fluid being injected during operations, such as acid treatments, secondary recovery, scale removal, and inhibiting squeeze. The fluid laser heating equipment was designed to perform the heating of the fluid to be injected into a production or injection well. Before being pumped into the well, the fluid passes through the heating equipment, through a metal coil-shaped tube immersed in hot water, placed inside a tank, a laser system heats the water inside the tank, the water inside the tank exchanges heat with the coil heating the same, and in turn the coil exchanges heat with the fluid passing within it. In this way, the fluid will be at an appropriate temperature for injection into the well.
