A therapeutic device having a first removable pack having a first temperature, a second removable pack having a second temperature, a flexible receptacle having a first compartment and a pocket. The first compartment of the flexible receptacle is configured to receive the first removable pack. The pocket is connected to the outer wall surface of the flexible receptacle and forms a second compartment configured to receive the second removable pack through a first opening of the pocket. The therapeutic device combines both hot and cold therapy to work simultaneously together. The application of both hot and cold to the site of an injury of a user stimulates blood circulation to an injured muscle with heat and reduces inflammation with cold to facilitate a faster and more efficient recovery process of the afflicted area.

The topical skin care composition of the invention is useful in the healing of the skin and in particular, after the skin has been exfoliated.

A moisturizer formulation for topical rejuvenation of the skin containing purified water, sodium tetraborate, lauramide diethanolamine, stearic acid, glycerine, collagen, papaya extract, retinyl palmitate, biotin, grapefruit seed extract, vitamin E acetate, ascorbic acid, linoleic acid, benzyl alcohol, and dehydroacetic acid. The moisturizer formulations of the invention are useful in the rejuvenation of the skin and in particular, after the skin has been exfoliated. The formulation may be retained in an air tight vessel such as an airless pump syringe. About 5 rads to about 10 rads of gamma radiation may be applied to the formulation retained within the air tight vessel.

Skincare formulation

An aqueous formulation for topical chemical exfoliation to the skin containing purified water, polyacrylic acid, disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate, glycerin, specially denatured alcohol, dimethicone, cetyltrimethylammonium chloride, papain enzyme, citrus seed extract, and a nontoxic preservative. The formulation may further contain benzylalcohol and dehydroacetic acid which serve as effective nontoxic preservatives. The exfoliating formulations of the invention are useful in the removal of the surface layer of the skin and in particular, the dead cells of the stratum corneum. The formulation may be retained in an air tight vessel such as a syringe. About 5 rads to about 10 rads of gamma radiation may be applied to the formulation retained within the air tight vessel.

An apparatus for forming a tube construct from a planar sheet matrix includes a stand supporting two opposing mounts and spanning between the opposing mounts are a mandrel, a porous rod, and a spring-loaded roller held in parallel arrangement; a guide for aligning and engaging the mandrel on the opposing mounts; and a means for imparting a tangential force on the planar sheet matrix to prevent wrinkling. The porous rod has a lumen running its length and has pores that communicate between the lumen of the porous rod through to the surface of the rod for water to uniformly pass through. The spring-loaded roller runs along the length of the porous rod creating a line of contact between the roller and the mandrel. The mandrel is contacted with a planar sheet of matrix and is rotated such that successive portions of the matrix contact the porous rod and become lightly moistened by the water passing through the pores of the porous rod and become wrapped around the mandrel to form a tube construct.

A method of treating skin includes applying a topical composition to an affected area of skin, such as a burn, irritation, blister, rash or other similar skin condition. The topical composition has as the active ingredients an anesthetic and a surfactant. The anesthetic is preferably tetracaine in a concentration of from about 1% to 2% by weight and the surfactant is preferably sodium lauryl sulfate in a concentration of from about 0.5% to about 5.0% by weight.
