A new tool and methodology to work, in a single-trip system, and create conduits through the casing or tubing to access the annuli, circulate out the annuli contents, accurately deliver the cement required to create the subsequent barrier. The tool and system provide a cost effective way of plugging an oil and gas well in a single trip without the need to remove in-place production casing.

Method for slim hole single trip remedial or plug and abandonment cement barrier

Provided in one aspect is a new tool and methodology to work, in a single-trip system, and create conduits through the casing or tubing to access the annuli, circulate out the annuli contents, accurately deliver the cement required to create the subsequent barrier. The tool and system provided by this aspect provide a cost effective way of plugging an oil and gas well in a single trip without the need to remove in-place production casing.

A method for installing a production string in a wellbore and a production assembly for deployment in a wellbore are disclosed. An upper completion portion including a tubular and an upper circulation valve and a lower completion portion including a screen assembly and a lower circulation valve are together deployed into a wellbore at the same time. The upper circulation valve is movable between a closed position to block fluid communication between the interior and the exterior of the tubular and an open position to establish fluid communication between the interior and the exterior of the tubular. The lower circulation valve is movable between an open position to establish fluid communication between the interior and the exterior of a base pipe deployed adjacent the screen assembly and a closed position to block fluid communication between the interior and the exterior of the base pipe.

One trip completion assembly system and method

This Application addresses maintaining a hydrostatic pressure exerted on a wall of a wellbore in different intervals of the wellbore. This is done by flowing a liquid through at least a pressure regulator in each interval, and wherein each pressure regulators regulates the amount of pressure exerted by the liquid on the wall of the wellbore. The amount of pressure may be maintained for a specific period of time. The wellbore is part of a soft subterranean formation.

A downhole fiber optic wet connect and gravel pack completion. In a described embodiment, a system for making fiber optic connections in a subterranean well includes a first fiber optic connector positioned in the well and a second fiber optic connector operatively connected to the first fiber optic connector after the first fiber optic connector is positioned in the well. A method of monitoring a subterranean well includes the steps of: positioning a fiber optic line in the well, the fiber optic line extending in a formation intersected by the well; positioning another fiber optic line in the well, the fiber optic line extending to a remote location; operatively connecting the fiber optic lines while the fiber optic lines are in the well; and monitoring a well parameter using a sensor operatively coupled to the fiber optic line extending in the formation.
