A power unit including a liquid-cooled engine, a radiator in fluid communication with the engine for cooling engine coolant, a fan on one side of the radiator for directing air therethrough, and a noise suppressing baffle on the other side of the radiator for altering the path of travel of air exiting the radiator and absorbing fan noise including a housing containing, noise suppressing material. The housing includes the improvement wherein a perforated panel faces the side of the radiator opposite the fan and is slightly spaced therefrom with the panel being pyramid-shaped and extending toward the radiator and presenting at least three generally planar surfaces intersecting at a common point to the radiator.

An improved rollover operator protection structure and cab for a tractor. The tractor includes an operator platform about and over which is a rollover operator protection structure and a cab is supported to enclose the platform at its upper end by the rollover operator protection structure. The lower end of the cab is sealed against the platform and secured thereto by resilient strips and clamps.

Vibration damping means for a mounting post of a roll-over protection canopy of a heavy vehicle such as a tractor, earth mover, or the like. A hollow square post has slightly concave walls and slides over an upright square mounting stub on the vehicle, to which it is secured by a bolt which impales the post and the stub. A reduced upper end portion of the stub receives a vibration damping member which is in the form of a hollow square. The member has rounded corners which fit snugly in the corners of the post, and the span across opposite faces of the member is less than the internal width of the post so as not to bind in the post.

An operator's cab is mounted on the frame of a track-type tractor by mounting means comprising first and second pairs of upstanding posts. A first vibration damping means connects a lower end of each of the first pair of posts to the frame for isolating the posts against vibrations and for permitting the posts to pivot rearwardly upon release of a second vibration damping means, releasably connecting a lower end of each of the second pair of posts to the frame.
