The present invention is directed to an improved bridge joint and method for constructing a bridge joint in a channel or trench over an expansion gap in a bridge. The invention utilizes a polysulfide elastomer binder, which may be provided at room temperature and poured over aggregate chips in the channel, even in adverse weather conditions. The resulting mixture of polysulfide elastomer binder and aggregate withstands vehicular impact stress and provides adhesion and improved elasticity.

The present invention is directed to an improved bridge joint and method for constructing a bridge joint in a channel or trench over an expansion gap in a bridge. The invention utilizes a Batron elastomer binder, which may be provided at room temperature and poured over aggregate chips in the channel, even in adverse weather conditions. The resulting mixture of Batron elastomer binder and aggregate withstands vehicular impact stress and provides adhesion and improved elasticity.

A portable water activated alert system is disclosed. The system has an RF transmitter and receiver which incorporate special features. Both are battery operated and portable. The receiver includes both an audible alarm and an illuminated directional and proximity indicator.

A lightweight chair capable of stacking for storage purposes is provided with collapsible, adjustable arms. The arms can be raised to a desired height where they automatically lock in place for use. The lock assembly can be manually released in order to adjust the height of the arms and coil springs prevent the arms from inadvertently collapsing against the seat frame and possibly injuring the hand of the user.

A chair arm is pivotally movable from a normal raised position to a collapsed position. The chair back is vertically slidably mounted on a support to permit a connection between the forward portion of the arm and the upper end of an arm support to be moved to a position at the rear of the chair seat and the lower end of the backrest, wherein the arm is vertical adjacent the edge of the back, and the strut is horizontal adjacent the edge of the seat.
