A hair clipper bladeset includes a stationary blade having a front, stationary toothed edge and an opposite, stationary rear edge, the stationary blade defining a transverse track, a moving blade having a front, moving toothed edge and an opposite, moving rear edge, and a lower blade guide disposed between the moving blade and the stationary blade and configured for reciprocating in the track and maintaining lateral alignment of the moving blade relative to the stationary blade during lateral reciprocating movement of the moving blade. The moving blade has an engagement formation. An upper blade guide connects with the engagement formation for moving with the moving blade in the lateral reciprocating movement. A drive arm has a blade end operatively engaging the upper blade guide, and an opposite follower end configured for receiving a hair clipper drive element, the drive arm pivots about a drive post located on the stationary blade.

A flip comb mechanism is provided for a hair clipper having a bladeset including a moving blade reciprocating relative to a stationary blade, the flip comb mechanism includes an attachment comb having at least one comb tooth and a comb base. The flip comb mechanism also includes a mount with a hinged bracket, having a first portion which is attached to the stationary blade, and a second portion which is attached to the comb base, the hinged bracket is configured to pivot the attachment comb between an operational position located against to the stationary blade, and an open position where the attachment comb is rotated away from the stationary blade to clear collected cut hair between the attachment comb and the stationary blade, wherein a hinge of the hinged bracket is proximate the comb base.

A hair clipper bladeset is provided, including a stationary blade having a front edge having a plurality of stationary teeth, and a moving blade including a moving front edge having a plurality of moving teeth disposed such that the moving blade teeth laterally reciprocate relative to the stationary blade teeth to form a cutting edge. A cam follower is disposed upon an upper surface of the moving blade and includes at least one cam follower formation constructed and arranged for guiding the moving blade in reciprocation. A blade guide is located between the moving blade and the stationary blade, having at least one complementary blade guide formation configured for accommodating a corresponding said at least one cam follower formation for creating multiple contact points constructed and arranged for maintaining alignment of the blades at the cutting edge.
