A paint booth assembly includes a dry filtration system for filtering paint particles from a downdraft of air. The dry filtration system includes at least one filter module disposed in a paint filtration portion of a paint booth for receiving the downdraft of air. The filter module includes a plurality of filter drawers sequentially arranged relative to one another along a flow path of the downdraft of air, with each of the filter drawers slideable relative to a side wall between filtering and cleaning positions. In the filtering position, a disposable filter within the respective filter drawer is disposed within the paint filtration portion for filtering paint particles from the downdraft of process air. In the cleaning position, the respective filter drawer is slid out into an external environment of the paint booth for allowing the disposable filter to be removed and replaced by an operator.

A paint booth assembly includes a paint booth having a pair of side walls and a flood sheet extending between the pair of side walls to separate the paint booth between a spray portion disposed above the flood sheet and a paint recovery portion disposed below the flood sheet. The flood sheet defines at least one flood sheet opening, and a scrubber unit extends down from the flood sheet opening to establish a shared path of fluid communication of a flow of water from the flood sheet and a downdraft of process air from the spray portion to the paint recovery portion. A scrubber pod is disposed within the scrubber unit and defines a plurality of perforations to induce an initial mixing of the paint particles entrained in the downdraft of process air into the flow of water.

An oven for heating a coating on a substrate, such as a painted vehicle body, including a first zone having radiant tubes and shields above the tubes and a second zone including side heat chambers having nozzles directing heated air onto a coated substrate and a hold zone. The radiant tubes may include a first linear portion extending through the oven and return loop beneath the substrate to conserve energy and sill ducts directing heated air against the underside of the vehicle body. The temperature is controlled by sensors contacting the radiant tubes and a proportional integral control system.

An oven assembly for drying paint on a product transported by a conveyor includes a plurality of modules positioned in a generally abutting relationship. Each of the modules includes a roof, side walls, and a floor having a length and a width. The floor is formed from abutting floor panels reinforced by a plurality of support members spaced along the length of the floor and having a length greater than the width of the floor. The side walls include an inner side wall panel disposed in an overlapping relationship with the floor and a side wall cladding panel supported by the support members along the width of the floor thereby concealing thermal insulating material disposed between the inner side wall panel and the side wall cladding panel.

A differential static pressure measuring or activating device measuring fluid flow through a duct including two pitot tubes each including a proximal end connected to a valve, a distal end portion located in the duct extending generally parallel to each other and perpendicular to the air flow through the duct having open distal ends and a plate located between the distal end portions of the tubes creating a differential static pressure between the open ends of the tubes. The open distal ends of the tubes incline toward the plate such that the open ends face toward and away from the direction of the gas flow through the duct.

An exhaust duct orifice adjustment device for a gas-fired heater used to indirectly heat an oven communicating with a heat exchanger, wherein the exhaust duct includes a fixed annular orifice plate and a switch having a pressure sensor on opposed sides of the fixed orifice plate, turning off the burner if the pressure drop falls below a predetermined minimum. The orifice adjustment mechanism includes a moveable plate upstream of the fixed orifice plate having an opening communicating with the opening in the fixed orifice plate and an adjustment mechanism moving the orifice adjustment plate from a retracted position, wherein the opening through the fixed orifice plate is substantially unobstructed, to an extended position which restricts the opening through the fixed orifice plate, thereby adjusting the pressure drop.
