Provided herein is an injectable composition including, in some embodiments, a soft-tissue augmenting agent and a vehicle for the soft-tissue augmenting agent formulated for augmenting one or more soft tissues of a human or animal. Also provided herein is a soft-tissue augmenting kit including, in some embodiments, a syringe and the injectable composition formulated for augmenting one or more soft tissues of a human or animal. Also provided herein is a method for augmenting one or more soft tissues of a human or animal including, in some embodiments, injecting the injectable composition into the one or more soft tissues of the human or animal.

System and methods for soft-tissue augmentation

A subtalar plate implant () for correcting and/or altering the alignment of a hyperpronated foot () comprises a plate portion () and an insert portion () that is connected to the plate portion (). The plate portion () is selectively attachable to a lateral aspect of the calcaneus (). The insert portion () is positionable within the subtalar joint (). The insert portion () includes a top surface () that Is selectively positionable substantially adjacent to a base of the talus (), the top surface () being angled to allow the talus () to articulate over the top surface (). The insert portion () further includes a bottom surface () that is selectively positionable substantially adjacent to a dorsal surface of the calcaneus (), The insert portion () can include a groove () that is formed along the bottom surface () substantially parallel to the plate portion ().

Subtalar plate implant

A subtalar plate implant () for correcting and/or altering the alignment of a hyperpronated foot () comprises a plate portion () and an insert portion () that is connected to the plate portion (). An implant that facilitates the fusion of a first bone part with a second bone part includes an implant body that extends between the first bone part and the second bone part. The implant body includes a first portion that fits within a first receiving aperture in the first bone part, and the implant body includes a second portion that fits within a second receiving aperture in the second bone part. At least one of the first portion and the second portion can be made of bone. Additionally, at least the second portion is formed to have a non-circular cross-sectional shape to inhibit relative motion between the bone parts and the implant body.
