The device includes a push-in cage, and an optoelectronic device. The push-in cage includes a first thread form, and a first key. The optoelectronic device includes an optical subassembly, a second thread form, and a second key. The second thread form of the optoelectronic device is complementary to the first thread form of the push-in cage, and the second key of the optoelectronic device is complementary to the first key of the push-in cage.

The device includes a housing, a printed circuit board, a first optical subassembly, a second optical subassembly, and a lever. The device is pluggable to a host structure. The housing has a flange. The printed circuit board is mounted to the housing. The first and second optical subassemblies are mounted to the printed circuit board. The lever is rotatably mounted to the housing. The lever includes a rotatably mounted portion, a hook, and an actuation surface for actuation by a user. In a plugged into and locked position of the device with the host structure, the flange of the housing is in electrical communication with a faceplate of the host structure, and the hook engages a slot.

Cageless, pluggable optoelectronic device which enables belly-to-belly layouts

The device includes a housing, a printed circuit board, a first optical subassembly, a second optical subassembly, and a lever. The device is pluggable to a host structure. The housing has a channel and ground spring fingers. The printed circuit board has contact traces and is mounted to the housing. The first and second optical subassemblies are mounted to the printed circuit board. The lever is rotatably mounted to the housing. The lever includes a rotatably mounted portion, a free end, and an actuation surface for actuation by a user. The free end of the lever forms a hook. In a locked position of the device to the host structure, the ground spring fingers contact and make electrical contact with a faceplate of the host structure, and the hook engages a slot of a circuit board of the host structure.

Cageless, pluggable optoelectronic device

A device includes a housing, two members protruding from the housing, two transmitting optical subassemblies, two receiving optical subassemblies, a multiplexer, and a de-multiplexer. The housing includes two ports for receiving optical fiber connectors. Functionally, the two members act as two standard sized transceivers. The optical outputs of the transmitting optical subassemblies are introduced into the multiplexer and the output of the multiplexer is introduced into one of the two ports of the housing. The optical inputs of the receiving optical subassemblies emanate from the de-multiplexer. The optical data signal input into the de-multiplexer originates from the other port of the two ports of the housing. The two members are attached to the housing in such a way so that when the device is plugged into the receptacle of the host device, the two members can translate in three directions and rotate in three directions relative to the housing.

Pluggable optical transceiver array having wavelength division multiplexing and demultiplexing features

A pluggable transceiver module comprising a housing having a first side and a face perpendicular to the first side, and a tab extending beyond the surface of the first side, and the tab sized to mate with a slot in a receptacle of a host device for receiving the pluggable transceiver module housing; a member slidably mounted on the first side proximate the tab; a lever rotatably mounted on the housing, whereby rotating the lever causes the member to slide between the tab and the slot on the receptacle and remove the tab from within the slot, thereby releasing the pluggable transceiver module from the receptacle. The lever includes a free end and a rotatably mounted end, the rotatably mounted end including an extension adjacent to the member, such that extending the free end outward causes the extension to drive the member inward.

Wire lever actuator mechanism for optical transceiver

A pluggable transceiver module having a housing with a first side and a face perpendicular to the first side, and a tab extending beyond the surface of the first side, and the tab sized to mate with a slot in a receptacle of a host device for receiving the pluggable transceiver module housing, an elongated member slidably mounted to the first side of the housing and having an internal end and an external end, a wedge on the internal end of the elongated member, wherein sliding the elongated member inward causes the wedge to slide between the tab and the slot on the receptacle and remove the tab from within the slot, thereby releasing the pluggable transceiver module from the receptacle, and a lever rotatably mounted via an axle proximate the face of the pluggable transceiver module, said axle being connected to the external end of the elongated member such that rotating the lever away from the face of the pluggable transceiver cause the rotating axle to push the elongated member inward and drive the wedge between the tab and the slot in order to release the pluggable transceiver module from the receptacle.

A fiber optic ferrule receptacle with a single-molded housing having a base, a cylinder on a first side of the base having a bore for receiving an optic ferrule, a socket on a second side of the base, opposing the first side, for receiving an optical element; and the bore having a first diameter at an outer opening distal to the base, and a second diameter at an inner opening adjacent to the base, wherein the first diameter is greater than the second diameter. A second embodiment comprises a single-molded housing having a base, a cylinder on a first side of the base having a bore for receiving an optic ferrule, a socket on a second side of the base, opposing the first side, for receiving an optical element; and a plurality of sloping ridges located on the inner wall of the cylinder, wherein widths of the sloping ridges increase closer to the base.
