Systems and methods are provided to vent a battery pack for an electric vehicle. The battery pack comprises a pack housing subdivided by a crossmember. The crossmember defines a multidirectional vent passage configured to allow venting with a first bay and a second bay. A pressure release valve is arranged on the pack housing and configured to release pressure based on the multidirectional vent passage.

Optimized battery assembly venting

Systems and methods are provided to vent a battery pack using a pressure release valve. The pressure release valve comprises a housing configured to be secured to an outer surface of a sidewall of a battery pack. A first membrane is arranged in a first side of the housing. A second membrane in a second side of the housing and adjacent to the first membrane.

Aspects of the subject disclosure relate to an enclosure for one or more electrical components for a battery pack. The enclosure may be configured to mechanically and electrically couple to an energy volume of the battery pack. The enclosure may include an access panel. The access panel may be formed from a solid insulating structure configured to at least partially cover the one or more electrical components, and a conductive layer on a surface of the solid insulating structure. The enclosure may be a modular enclosure that can be used to provide electrical connection to any of various energy volumes including batteries or battery cells of any of various cell chemistries.

An energy storage pack includes a coolant inlet manifold, a coolant outlet manifold, and a plurality of thermal-exchange tubes extending between the coolant inlet manifold and the coolant outlet manifold to exchange heat between coolant passing through the plurality of thermal-exchange tubes and a plurality of battery cells mounted adjacent to and among the plurality of thermal-exchange tubes within the energy storage pack. In one embodiment, at least one of coolant inlet manifold and the coolant outlet manifold includes a plurality of thermal-exchange tube terminating structures and a plurality of hose segments intercoupling the plurality of thermal-exchange tube terminating structures. The energy storage pack may further include a coolant inlet opening located on the coolant inlet manifold and a coolant outlet opening located on the coolant outlet manifold.

A system and method for using a webpad to select a target device which is to receive from a source device a stream of a digital representation of a media. The webpad is used to send a transmission to the source device to cause the source device to route the stream of the digital representation of the media to the target device where the target device decodes and converts the digital representation of the media into analog signals to thereby allow for a reproduction of the media.

A method includes: assembling a thermal-exchange tube in a module housing for an energy storage pack; assembling cells in the module housing, wherein the thermal-exchange tube runs between rows of the cells; applying an adhesive that affixes the cells and the thermal-exchange tube to the module housing; curing a first portion of the adhesive by radiation, wherein a second portion of the adhesive is shielded from the radiation by the cells or the thermal-exchange tube; and curing at least the second portion of the adhesive by a chemical cure mechanism.
