A method for controlling lighting in an interior of an aircraft, a lighting control system, and computer program product. The method includes: determining a departure time adjusted for an offset from GMT at a departure location and an arrival time adjusted for an offset from GMT at an arrival location as epoch times; generating a flight time with GMT offsets based on subtracting the departure time from the arrival time; determining an FMS flight time representing the expected time that the aircraft will be in flight between the departure location and the arrival location; generating a simulation ratio modifier based on dividing the FMS flight time by the flight time with GMT offsets; applying the simulation ratio modifier to periods of a day to generate scaled durations for periods of the day in a lighting program; and applying the program to control the cabin lighting on the aircraft.

Lighting program for aircraft interior

Several embodiments of buffer zones are provided that are contemplated to be disposed with respect to two or more adjacent elements on an aircraft. The buffer zones adjust for dynamic spacing between the elements to help control different gapping requirements between the elements installed in the aircraft. Embodiments include an aircraft interior panel configuration, an aircraft interior wall panel configuration, an adjustable width aircraft bulkhead, and an aircraft personal service unit.

The first mechanism () permits the second housing () to be stowed within the first housing () in a stowed position and also permits the second housing () to extend outwardly from the first housing () in a deployed position.

An interior configuration for an aircraft, comprising a bed positioned adjacent to one side of a fuselage on a floor of a cabin within the aircraft; and a movable table positioned in relation to the bed so that the movable table may be positioned over at least a portion of the bed.

Aircraft interior configuration

An aircraft table configuration includes a first table section and a second table section. The first and second table sections are hingedly connected along a first hinge line so that the second table section is configurable between a deployed, opened position and a folded, closed position. The first table section presents a first angled side and the second table section table presents a second angled side. The first angled side defines a first angle with respect to the first hinge line, and the second angled side defines a second angle with respect to the first hinge line. The first angled side and the second angled side are opposite to one another on either side of the first hinge line, wherein the first and second angled sides are adapted to define an aisle width in the aircraft. The aisle width does not change between the open position and the closed position.

Aircraft angled conference table configuration

An aircraft interior configuration includes a first passageway extending along a longitudinal axis of a fuselage of the aircraft and a second passageway extending along the longitudinal axis. A transitional region is disposed between the first passageway and the second passageway. The transitional region extends perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis, between starboard and port sides of the aircraft. The transitional region is configurable from at least a first configuration to at least a second configuration.

A shower unit for an aircraft comprises: a shower head, and controls to manually control the water output. A shower enclosure defines a receiving cavity to receive the user. The shower enclosure supports the shower head and the controls for the user to shower in the receiving cavity. The shower enclosure comprises a first door on a first side of the shower enclosure, and a second door on a second side of the shower enclosure to define a passageway through the shower enclosure. The shower unit is adapted to be positioned in the aircraft such that the passageway communicates between two separate zones of the aircraft.
