A vehicle includes: an engine; an exhaust pipe, fluidly coupled to the engine; a vehicle body including a fairing having an exhaust opening; and an exhaust assembly, the exhaust assembly including: an expansion chamber having a first opening fluidly coupled to the exhaust pipe and a second opening aligned with the exhaust opening in the fairing, a cross-sectional area of the second opening being greater than a cross-sectional area of the first opening, and a choke plate attached to the expansion chamber and shaped and sized to cover at least ten percent of the cross-sectional area of the second opening.

A stowable side fairing for a tractor-trailer having a frame includes first and second panels rotatably coupled to the frame and extending downward from the frame. A cross-member is rotatably coupled at a first end to the first panel and at a second end to the second panel. The side fairing further includes a drive arm rotatably coupled at a first end to the frame and at a second end to the cross-member. An actuator is configured to rotate the drive arm about the first end to move the side fairing between a deployed position and a stowed position.

A pneumatically actuated air control device is provided. The device includes a control surface that affects the air flow along the device, and an at least one pneumatic motor configured to alter or change the configuration or orientation of the control surface or sections thereof. Rear fairing

A lead vehicle includes a chassis and front and rear wheel assemblies supportively coupled to the chassis. A trailer coupling interface is mounted to the chassis and is configured to couple to a tow vehicle. The lead vehicle further includes one or more seals cooperatively including first and second side leg sections positioned on the chassis laterally outwardly of the trailer coupling interface and a cross section positioned forwardly of the trailer coupling interface. The one or more seals are configured to form a barrier between the chassis and a portion of the tow vehicle.
