A grip for a golf club is provided. The grip comprises an elongated flexible sleeve that slips onto the shaft of a golf club and an elongated flexible panel of silicone material wrapped around and integrally bonded to the sleeve. The flexible panel comprises opposite first and second surfaces, opposite first and second edge portions joined together to define a longitudinal seam, and printed indicia on the panel first surface, wherein the printed indicia comprises silicone ink.

A variable mass capfor a shock imparting implement grip has a butt elementconnected to a tubular portionconstructed to receive a selected mass. The tubular portionfits snugly within a recessof a body, and is retained therein by the engagement of an annular ridgewith a first annular groovedisposed in an outer surface of the tubular portion. In an alternate embodiment, threaded portionis received by and engaged by a corresponding threaded recess. The capis mechanically secured to the bodyfor providing a grip with a variable mass.
