Electric vehicle battery packs with external side enclosures for containing electrical connectors and other components therein. Each enclosure is sized to support various connectors or other components as desired, and may have a number of openings formed to provide interfaces for connecting various electric vehicle systems to the battery pack. The enclosures may be placed at various locations along one or more sides of the battery pack, and connectors may be routed over an upper surface of a battery pack frame or through a gap formed between the pack frame and cover. Enclosures may be made of any material, including plastic for lower weight applications and metal for improved electromagnetic interference shielding.

An assembly for protecting a utility conduit passing through a hole in a stud used in building construction. A sleeve and a plate are provided. The sleeve has a body forming a hollow trough with a length, a circular side section and a width The circular side section is changeable to adapt to the hole in the stud. The body has opposed inserted and worked end to permit engagement of the sleeve into the hole in the stud. The body portion can include a sleeve fillant within the trough. A stop portion at the worked end of the body stops sleeve insertion a proximate stud. A retention portion then affirmatively retain the sleeve in the hole. The plate has a surface conforming to a stud face, an opening to receive the sleeve, and a mechanism to attach the plate to the stud.

An apparatus () for interfacing between an external telephone () and telecommunications network (), wherein the telephone provides and accepts subscriber-side signals () and the telecommunications network provides and accepts provider-side signals (). A control circuit () and a first port () communicating the subscriber-side signals with said control circuit and a second port () communicating the provider-side signals with said control circuit. The control circuit converts the subscriber signals to the provider signals, and the provider signals to the subscriber signals.

A sleeve for protecting a utility conduit or conduits passing through a hole in a stud used in building construction. A body portion forms a longitudinally extending hollow trough having side edges, wherein each said side edge portion has overlapable or interlockable fingers. The trough includes a circular side section, with a diameter defining a body width. This circular side section is changeable by compression with either the human hand or a conventional hand-tool to adapt the body width, and thus the sleeve, to coincide with a potential range of stud hole sizes. Engagement of the sleeve in the hole is achievable by placing an inserted end into the hole and pressing a worked end. A stop portion at the worked end stops insertion of the sleeve beyond the stud face, and a retention portion in the sleeve affirmatively retains the sleeve within the hole once thus inserted.

An apparatus () for interfacing a telephone () with a telecommunications network (). The telephone provides and accepts digital signals () and the telecommunications network provides and accepts analog signals (). The digital signals include digital control content () and digital voice content (), and the analog signals include analog control content () and analog voice content (). A control circuit (), a first port (), and a second port () are provided. The first port communicates the digital signals to and from the control circuit. The second port communicates the analog signals to and from the control circuit. The control circuit converts the digital control content to the analog control content, and vice versa. The control circuit also converts the digital voice content to the analog voice content, and vice versa.
