A stable composition for suppressing dust which comprises 0.1 to 35 parts by weight of a water-soluble lignosulfonate anionic surfactant, 0.1 to 35 parts by weight of one or more non-ionic surfactants, 5 to 85 parts by weight of a petroleum resin, and 1 to 99 parts by weight of water.

A pour point depressant for lubricating oils comprises an olefin copolymer which contains alkyl side chains having carbon atoms, wherein the average side chain length in the copolymer is 10.5 to 12.0.

Olefin polymer pour point depressants

A pour point depressant for lubricating oils comprises a poly(methacrylate) polymer having the repeating unit ##STR1## wherein R is an alkyl group having an average chain length in the polymer of 12.6 to 13.8, and n is an integer indicating the number of repeating units, the value of n being sufficient to provide a molecular weight of 10,000 to 300,000 for the polymer, the pour point depressant having the capacity to reduce the stable pour point to -35.degree. C., while being compatible with other additives such as viscosity index improvers and detergents.

Methacrylate pour point depressants and compositions

A pour point depressant for lubricating oils comprises a poly(methacrylate) polymer having the repeating unit ##STR1## wherein R is an alkyl group having an average chain length in the polymer of 12.6 to 13.0, and n is an integer indicating the number of repeating units, the value of n being sufficient to provide a molecular weight of 10,000 to 300,000 for the polymer, the pour point depressant having the capacity to reduce the stable pour point to -35.degree. C., while being compatible with other additives such as viscosity index improvers.
