An agricultural product application implement includes a system and method for indicating an amount of fluid stored. A pressure transducer installed at the sump of a fluid tank electronically measures and displays a fluid depth. Instrumentation, such as an instrument cluster unit for the implement, is programmed via software to convert the voltage output of the pressure transducer to a volume measurement displayed in the operator's line of sight. Software within the instrument cluster unit for self-calibrating accounts for varying densities of different chemical solutions. The pressure transducer is used in conjunction with a transfer medium to prevent corrosive chemical solutions from contacting the pressure transducer.

System and method for electronic fluid measurement

An agricultural product application implement includes a system and method for indicating an amount of fluid stored. A pressure transducer installed at the sump of a fluid tank may electronically measure and display a fluid depth. Instrumentation, such as the instrument cluster unit for the implement, can be programmed via software to convert the voltage output of the pressure transducer to a volume measurement to be displayed in the operator's line of sight. Software may be provided within an instrument cluster unit for self-calibrating to account for varying densities of different chemical solutions. A method and assembly for broadcast distributing a granular agricultural material. The assembly includes a container that is configured to be supported by a chassis of a self-powered vehicle and contain a volume of a solid granular material. The assembly includes a spinner assembly that includes a first disk and a second disk that are disposed toward opposite lateral outboard sides of the vehicle. A mount arrangement is disposed between the spinner assembly and the chassis and is adjustable to manipulate a position of the first spinner and the second spinner relative to the chassis. Preferably, the mounting arrangement is configured to simultaneously adjust the position of the first spinner and the second spinner relative to the chassis.

Adjustable height broadcast spinner assembly

A system and method of automatically adjusting an amount of agricultural granular material delivered to a field in response to vehicle steering activities. The system includes a sensor that is associated with a steering system of a vehicle configured to apply the material to a field. The sensor is connected to a controller that is configured to determine a deviation value associated with discrete turning activities. The controller is configured to manipulate operation of a first commodity delivery system and a second commodity delivery system such that different amounts of the agricultural material can be delivered to alternate lateral sides of the vehicle in response to turning activities.

Turn-compensating agricultural material spreader system

Self-propelled liquid dispensing equipment having ground engaging wheels and an active trailing link suspension system in which either suspension struts or air struts control suspension travel. A liquid pressure transducer is connected to a liquid reservoir to provide a control input that varies the assist given by the suspension struts or air strut in direct proportion to the quantity of liquid. A given suspension travel is maintained regardless of the quantity of liquid carried by the equipment.

Liquid dispensing equipment with active suspension system

A method and assembly for distributing a granular agricultural material. The assembly includes a container that is configured to be supported by a chassis of a self-powered vehicle. A first conveyor and a second conveyor are associated with the container and configured to receive the granular material contained therein. The first conveyor and the second conveyor each extend in a longitudinal direction that is generally aligned with and offset in opposite lateral directions from a longitudinal centerline axis of the chassis. Preferably, each of the first and second conveyors are independently operable to manipulate the amount of commodity distributed to the alternate lateral sides of the underlying vehicle.

Dual conveyor granular commodity dispersement system

A plugged nozzle monitoring system uses a thermal flow sensor located within a spray nozzle of an agricultural sprayer. The thermal flow sensor is free of moving parts and is made of corrosion-resistant materials. The thermal flow sensor is placed within the fluid flow path through the nozzle and activates an alarm if flow through the nozzle falls below the baseline value.

Method and apparatus for detecting a plugged nozzle of a sprayer

A boom cradle slide system for use with an agricultural sprayer vehicle is provided. The boom cradle slide system includes a boom cradle that holds a sprayer boom in a stowed position. A slide assembly connects the boom cradle to the sprayer vehicle and allows the boom cradle to move transversely or laterally nearer to or further from the sprayer vehicle. An actuator provides the mechanism for driving the slide assembly and correspondingly moving the boom cradle and sprayer boom. The actuator is operated from outside a cab of the sprayer vehicle.

Boom cradle slide system

A sway control arrangement configured to control movement of a product storage tank supported on a wheeled chassis assembly is provided. The wheeled chassis assembly includes a leaf spring in support of a frame and a tank on a transverse axle relative to a forward direction of travel. The sway control arrangement includes a master cylinder actuator in fluid communication with a pair of slave cylinders. The master cylinder is mounted between the frame and the leaf spring. The pair of slave cylinders are spaced apart from one another and mounted between the tank and the frame. The master cylinder communicates a fluid signal representative of a movement of the leaf spring relative the frame. In response to the fluid signal, the pair of slave cylinder actuators reduces movement of the tank from generally level alignment relative to the axle.

System for and method of controlling sway movement of a product storage tank on a wheeled chassis assembly

A subframe arrangement is configured for a mobile vehicle chassis assembly to enhance isolation of the subframe platform and drive mechanism from flex in the chassis assembly caused by dynamic forces associated with operation of the chassis assembly. The chassis assembly includes a frame having a front and a rear frame support, and a pair of elongated frame side supports interconnected therebetween. The subframe arrangement includes a subframe platform configured to receive the drive-unit, and a plurality of subframe mounting couplings operable to attach the subframe platform to the pair of elongated frame side supports. Each of the plurality of subframe mounting couplings is located along a generally isosceles triangular-shaped arrangement that enhances isolation of the subframe arrangement and attached drive unit.
