A track vehicle includes: a frame; a rotatable driving wheel carried by the frame; a track engaged with the driving wheel; an idler wheel engaged with the track; a tensioner coupled to the idler wheel to force the idler wheel into engagement with the track; a recoiler coupled to the tensioner; and a fluid damper attached to the frame and coupled to the tensioner and the recoiler. The fluid damper includes: a fluid chamber having two ports; a piston coupled to at least one of the tensioner and the recoiler within the fluid chamber; and a restriction circuit fluidly connected to the ports and configured to form a closed fluid circuit. The restriction circuit permits a substantially unrestricted fluid flow through the closed fluid circuit when the piston moves in one direction and a restricted fluid flow through the closed fluid circuit when the piston moves in the opposite direction.

A cane harvester including a support member and a basecutter assembly carried by the support member. The basecutter assembly includes a plurality of basecutter units and a control system. The plurality of basecutter units include first and second basecutter units. The first basecutter unit has a first set of blades and the second basecutter has a second set of blades. The first set of blades are rotatable by the first basecutter unit, and the second set of blades are rotatable by the second basecutter unit. The control system is configured to synchronize the first set of blades with the second set of blades.

A device for spreading aggregate material from a discharge conveyor onto a work surface includes a tremie attached relative to the discharge conveyor and a flexible hose connected to the tremie. A crank connected between the tremie and the discharge conveyor permits adjustment of a frequency and an amplitude of the tremie to provide a desired windrow of material on the surface. A distal end of the discharge conveyor is preferably moveable relative to a supply of material to further optimize the desired windrow of material.

Single-track and a dual-track conveyor support crawlers are employed in conjunction with a mobile conveyor system. The crawlers comprise rotational coupling between single-track base units and structure link members. The crawlers further comprise a steering subsystem to control relative rotation between the single-track base units and the structure link members. The crawlers comprise translational coupling between the single-track base units and the structure link members, and elevation control subsystems to control the relative vertical position between the single-track base units and the structure link members.
