Device and method for forming the device are provided. The device is exposed to vibration events from time-to-time and includes at least one component assembled therein. The device includes a spool including a bore defined by an inner section of the spool. The inner section that defines the bore may be configured to receive that component. The device further includes a rib situated on the inner section near an entrance to the bore. The rib may extend about the periphery of the bore entrance. The rib is configured to provide a tight interference-fit upon assembly of the component into the bore, and thus avoid vibration-induced effects between the inner section of the spool and the component therein.

Device and method for avoiding bangingly shaking of components in the presence of vibration events

Device and method including a generally flat and flexible circuit for electrically inter-connecting components therein are provided. The device includes a post including a recessed section configured to receive the flexible circuit through an opening in said circuit. The structures defining the opening in the flexible circuit may be configured to provide a snap-fit between the circuit and the recessed section of the post, and thus avoid undesirable movement of the flex circuit in the presence of vibration.

Device and method using a flexible circuit secured for reliably inter-connecting components therein in the presence of vibration events

An actuator housing isolator plate is used in an actuator array having two or more actuator assemblies connected to each other by a flexible circuit. The isolator plate prevents the actuator housings, in which the actuator assemblies are disposed, from contacting the flexible circuit. Thus, the likelihood of the actuator housings shorting out the flexible circuit is eliminated. The isolator plate further includes isolator posts that prevent the flexible circuit from contacting itself when it is folded over on top of the actuator housings.
