A conditioner includes a pressure roller assembly, a tension roller assembly, a heating element, a pressure roller drive motor, a tension drive motor, and a controller. The heating element heats the pressure roller assembly. The pressure roller drive motor rotates the pressure roller assembly. The tension drive motor rotates the tension roller assembly. The controller receives a print job complete notification to initiate a conditioner shutdown. In response to the print job complete notification, the controller turns off the tension drive motor. The controller sets the heating element to a predetermined temperature and waits a first predetermined period. In response to the first predetermined period elapsing, the controller turns off the heating element. With the heating element turned off, the controller turns off the pressure roller drive motor.

In some examples, a system is disclosed that includes a roller assembly for a printer. The roller assembly includes a pressure roller, a belt coupled, a drive assembly to rotate the pressure roller and to urge the pressure roller into the belt, a heater to apply heat to the belt, and a temperature sensor to detect a temperature of the belt. In addition, the roller assembly includes a controller to increase a pressure applied to the pressure roller from a first to a second pressure in pressure in response to a temperature of the belt being greater than or equal to a first temperature threshold. Also, the controller is to initiate an advance of a print media to contact the belt in response to the temperature of the belt being greater than or equal to a second, higher temperature threshold.

According to an example, an apparatus may include a fluid coverage engine to determine which pixels of an image are to receive print fluid. The apparatus may also include a pixel count engine to compute a count of pixels at which print fluid is to be applied onto a media from the determined pixels of the image that are to receive print fluid, a target temperature engine to determine a target temperature for a dryer based upon the computed count of pixels, and a dryer engine to cause the dryer to become heated to the determined target temperature.

According to an example, a printing system may include printing components, an input voltage engine to determine whether an input voltage level is outside of a predetermined voltage level range, and a printing components engine to control the printing components to operate in one of a normal mode and a reduced throughput mode based upon whether the accessed input voltage level is outside of the predetermined voltage level range.

In one example, a processor readable medium having instructions thereon that when executed cause a printer controller to monitor a temperature of a dryer in the printer, continue to apply power to a heating element in the dryer after executing a first print job and before executing a second, next consecutive print job, and turn off the power applied to the heating element if the temperature of the dryer exceeds a threshold temperature while the printer is not printing.

According to an example, an apparatus may include a controller and a non-transitory computer readable medium on which is stored instructions. The instructions may cause the controller to predict that a user is to instruct a printing device to perform a printing operation, in which the printing device includes a dryer, identify the user in response to the prediction, to access a user profile corresponding to the identified user, in which the accessed profile identifies a type of document that the identified user typically prints, and to adjust a setting of the dryer according to the identified type of document in the accessed profile.

In accordance with one embodiment, a method comprises querying, with a querying component, a print engine to ascertain one or more printmodes that are supported by the print engine, and, receiving, responsive to the querying, a list that describes printmodes supported by the print engine.
