An electrosurgical device () operable to deliver microwave energy to cause targeted tissue ablation is provided. The electrosurgical device () comprises an antenna (), a reflector (), and a dielectric material () disposed therebetween. The selection of the dielectric material () and the relative positioning of the antenna () and the reflector () provide impedance matching between the antenna () and a transmission line () so as to minimize heating along the length of the device () during use.

High-efficiency, directional microwave ablation antenna

A stripline radial power combiner is provided. The stripline radial combiner comprises a first stripline level comprising N radial combiner arms coupled to a first common node; a second stripline level comprising a common port coupled to a second common node; wherein the first stripline level is mounted over the second stripline level; and wherein the first common node and the second common node are coupled by a conductive via through the first stripline level and the second stripline level.
