Disclosed is a rupture disc assembly for use in making a temporary seal in a vessel such as a casing string. The rupture disc assembly may generally include (A) a rupture disc having a side surface having a shallow taper inward towards a bottom surface of the rupture disc (B) an actuating mechanism including (i) an outer sled having an inner supporting surface forming a taper complimentary to the shallow taper of the side surface, (ii) an inner sled disposed within the outer sled and having a support shoulder to support the bottom surface of the rupture disc and (iii) a securing mechanism and (C) a housing to house the rupture disc and actuating mechanism.

Rupture disc assembly

The present description relates to processes and systems for asynchronous frac-to-frac operations for recovering hydro-carbons. The processes can include the use of injection-only and production-only valves that include a housing and at least one sleeve as well as flow restriction components, check valves, or other features. The flow restriction component can be a tortuous path provided in the sleeve. The check valves can be integrated into the sleeve or into the housing of the valve. Various different types of valve assemblies can be used and integrated with flow restriction components and/or check valves.

Asynchronous frac-to-frac operations for hydrocarbon recovery and valve systems

A valve assembly for integration within a wellbore string disposed within a subterranean reservoir is provided. The valve assembly includes a valve housing having one or more injection ports for establishing fluid communication between a central passage and the reservoir. The valve assembly includes a valve sleeve operatively mounted within the valve housing and comprising a fluid channel adapted to establish fluid communication between the central passage and the injection ports, and configured to create a fluid flowrate restriction. The valve assembly has a flow adjuster connectable to the valve sleeve, and is selectively arranged to align an opening with the fluid channel and allow fluid to flow from the fluid channel through the opening to the injection port, wherein connecting the flow adjuster to the valve sleeve defines a flow length of the fluid channel to adjust the fluid restriction created by the fluid channel.

Systems and methods for producing hydrocarbon material from or injecting fluid into a subterranean formation using adjustable flow restriction

A valve assembly for integration within a wellbore string disposed within a hydrocarbon-containing reservoir is provided. The valve assembly includes a valve housing having a plurality of frac ports for establishing fluid communication between a central passage and the reservoir. The valve assembly includes a bottom sleeve operatively mounted within the valve housing configured to selectively open the frac ports, and a top sleeve operatively mounted within the valve housing slidable between (i) a first position defining a first fluid pathway whereby fluid is flowable down into the central passage and into the reservoir via the frac ports, and (ii) a tracing position defining a second fluid pathway whereby fluid is flowable from the reservoir into an annulus defined between the top sleeve and the housing. The valve assembly also has a tracer compartment defined within the annulus forming part of the second fluid pathway and accommodating a tracer material.

Convertible tracer valve assemblies and related methods for fracturing and tracing

There is provided a bottomhole assembly that is deployable downhole within a wellbore via a conveyance system. The conveyance system includes a fluid conductor for effecting fluid communication between the surface and the bottomhole assembly. The bottomhole assembly includes an actuator tool and a shifting tool. In some embodiments, for example, the actuator tool is disposed for receiving transmission of a compressive force being applied to the conveyance system from the surface, and transmitting the compressive force for actuating the shifting tool. In some embodiments, for example, the actuator includes an anchoring tool configured for hydraulic actuation, via fluid pressure forces communicated by the fluid conductor of the conveyance system, for becoming retained relative to the wellbore string. In some embodiments, for example, the actuator tool also includes a linear actuator that is extendible relative to the anchoring tool, while the anchoring tool is retained relative to the wellbore string, for transmitting a force to the actuated shifting tool with effect that the shifting tool is displaced relative to the wellbore.

Bottomhole assembly

There is provided a flow control apparatus configured for integration within a wellbore string disposed within a wellbore extending into a subterranean formation and useable for effecting production of hydrocarbon material by providing flow communication for injection of treatment material for stimulating the reservoir and then receiving hydrocarbon material from the stimulated reservoir, and also for effecting production of hydrocarbon material by providing flow communication for injection of a displacement fluid for displacing hydrocarbon material to a second wellbore.

Apparatuses, systems and methods for producing hydrocarbon material from a subterranean formation

A flow control apparatus is provided comprising: a housing including a port; a housing passage disposed within the housing; a flow control member, displaceable, relative to the port, for effecting opening of the port; and a co-operating member. The flow control member and the co-operating member are co-operatively configured such that displacement of the flow control member, relative to the port, is with effect that a force is applied by the flow control member to the co-operating member, with effect that a seating surface is obtained for receiving a flow communication interference body that is being conducted through the housing passage. The seating surface is obtained in response to a deformation effected by the applied force.

Apparatus, systems and methods for isolation during multistage hydraulic fracturing

A flow control apparatus comprising: a housing, a housing passage disposed within the housing, a subterranean formation flow communicator for effecting flow communication between the subterranean formation and the housing passage, a flow control member, displaceable, relative to the subterranean formation flow communicator, for effecting at least opening of the subterranean formation flow communicator There is further provided a first actuation system for actuating displacement of the flow control member relative to the subterranean flow communicator. There is also provided a second actuation system for actuating displacement of the flow control member relative to the subterranean flow communicator. Relative to the central longitudinal axis of the housing passage, the first actuation system is angularly spaced from the second actuation system.

Apparatus, systems and methods for actuation of downhole tools

There is provided a plurality of injection stations, wherein each one of the injection stations, independently, comprising: a housing; a port extending through the housing; a flow control member configured for displacement for effecting at least opening of the port such that, when the injection station is integrated within a wellbore string that is disposed within a wellbore of a subterranean formation, and treatment fluid is being supplied through a wellbore string passage of the wellbore string, injection of the supplied treatment fluid into the subterranean formation is effected through the port; and a deployable seat, mounted to the housing, and including an aperture, and configured such that, when the seat is deployed in a deployed position, the seat is configured for receiving a respective plug for seating of the respective plug over the aperture of the seat; such that a plurality of plugs are respective to the injection stations, wherein each one of the plugs is respective to a deployable seat of a one of the injection stations, such that each one of the plugs is respective to a one of the injection stations.

Apparatuses and methods for enabling multistage hydraulic fracturing

There is provided a flow control apparatus including a housing, a port, a flow control member, a sensor, and a trigger. The housing includes a housing passage. The port extends through the housing. The flow control member includes a fluid responsive surface, and is configured for displacement, relative to the port, such that fluid communication is effected between the port and the housing passage. The sensor is coupled to the housing for sensing an actuating signal. The trigger is configured for effecting fluid communication between the housing passage and the fluid responsive surface, in response to the sensing of an actuating signal by the sensor, for effecting displacement of the flow control member.

Electrically actuated downhole flow control apparatus

A downhole tool deployable within a wellbore for controlling the supply of treatment to fluid to a reservoir is disclosed. The downhole tool includes a housing defining a passage and a port extending through the housing. The housing includes a seat that is configured for displacement into a plug-receiving position for receiving a plug that is deployed through the passage. A key profile for effecting actuation of the seat to the plug-receiving position in response to registration of the key profile with a matching key on the plug being deployed through the passage is provided. The downhole tool further includes a flow control member configured for displacement relative to the port in response to application of a sufficient net force effected by a fluid pressure differential that is created by supplying pressurized fluid to the passage while the plug is deployed on the seat.

There is provided a downhole flow control apparatus comprising: a housing; a port extending through the housing; a passage disposed within the housing for conducting material to and from the port; a flow control member displaceable relative to the port; and a flow control member actuator configured for producing a pressurized fluid for urging the displacement of the flow control member.
