Implementations disclosed herein relate to transmitting audio in a target space relative to an electronic device using a directional speaker and non-directional speaker. In one implementation, a directional speaker or non-directional speaker is selected to transmit audio based on a target space for the audio. The audio may then be transmitted from the selected speaker.

In some examples, a docking system includes a base, a deck having an upper surface to contact a computing device resting upon the deck, wherein the deck includes apertures therethrough, and projections extending upwardly from a surface of the base. The docking system further includes resilient bias elements to bias the deck at a raised position at which the upper surface of the deck extends at or above a height of each of the projections, where the deck is linearly movable from the raised position to a lowered position at which the projections extend through the apertures, the deck being linearly movable without being pivotably coupled to the base.

A computing device with a hinge coupled to a display component and to a base for the display component to reposition relative to the base, a first set of magnets at first locations of the display component and the base, and a second set of magnets at second locations of the display component and the base.

Implementations disclosed herein relate to transmitting audio in a target space relative to an electronic device () using a directional speaker () and non-directional speaker (). In one implementation, a directional speaker () or non-directional speaker () is selected to transmit audio based on a target space for the audio. The audio may then be transmitted from the selected speaker.

In some examples, a stylus holder comprises a connector to attach to a port of a computing device and create an electrical connection to the computing device port, and a fastener to attach a stylus to the holder and provide at least one of a data and power connection to the stylus. The fastener includes a first inductive element formed in an internal cavity area of the fastener, the first inductive element to inductive couple to a second inductive element of the stylus, the second inductive element longer than the first inductive element.

Embodiments disclosed herein relate to a stylus extender. In one embodiment, an electronic device housing includes a stylus extender. The stylus extender may be attached to a door hinging from the electronic device housing for containing the stylus. The stylus extender may push the stylus forward when the door is opened.

A docking system includes a base, a deck having an upper surface configured to contact a computing device resting upon the deck, wherein the upper surface includes at least one aperture therethrough, and projections extending upwardly from a surface of the base. The deck is movable along a plane that is inclined with respect to the surface of the base between a first position and a second position, the at least one aperture of the deck when in the first position being located away from the projections such that the deck conceals the projections, and the at least one aperture of the deck when in the second position exposing the projections to allow engagement of the projections with the computing device.

An example computer device includes a keyboard body further including a keyboard deck and a keyboard. In addition, the computer device includes a display body further including a display, the display body being coupled to the keyboard body such that the computer device is foldable to a closed position. Further, the computer device includes a display protector attached to the keyboard body and disposed at the keyboard deck to protect the display by contact therewith. The display protector includes a plurality of separate, discrete portions, the plurality of portions extends along each side of the keyboard, and each of the plurality of portions contacts both the keyboard deck and the display when the computer device is in the closed position and a compressible load is applied to the computer device.

Computer devices and methods of preventing damage to a display

Examples provide mechanisms, methods, and systems for coupling a docking port of a computing device to a docking connector. In various examples, the docking connector includes a magnetic material to provide a mating force. The mating force may be utilized to extend the docking connector. Once extended, a release mechanism may be utilized to retract the docking connector.

A portable computing device dock has a deck movable between a raised position in which an upper surface of the deck extends at or above a height of projections such that no projections extend through and above the deck and a lowered position in which the projections extend through the upper surface of the deck.

Embodiments of the present invention disclose a stylus and stylus holder for a computing device. According to one embodiment, the stylus holder includes a connector configured to attach to a port of the computing device for establishing an electrical connection therewith. The stylus holder further includes a fastener for facilitating attachment with the stylus while also providing at least one of data and power to said stylus.

Embodiments of the present invention disclose a stylus having a retractable connector for use with a computing device. According to one embodiment, the stylus includes an outer housing and a connector configured to attach to a port on the computing device so as to maintain the stylus in a fixed position adjacent to the computing device. Furthermore, the connector is capable of extending from the housing of the stylus into a first position and also retracting into the stylus housing into a second position.
