Described herein are compounds of formula (I) as properfume compounds. In particular, described herein is a method to release a compound being a ketone of formula (II), a formate ester of formula (III), and/or an alcohol of formula (IV) by exposing the compound of formula (I) to an environment wherein it is oxidized. Moreover, a perfuming composition and a perfumed consumer product including at least one compound of formula (I) are also described.

Alkyl enol ether properfume

Described herein are compounds of formula (I) as properfume compounds, as well as a method to release a compound being a carbonyl of formula (II), a formate ester of formula (III) and/or an alcohol of formula (IV), by exposing the compound of formula (I) to an environment wherein it is oxidized. Also described herein are a perfuming composition and a perfume consumer product including at least one compound of formula (I).

Enol ether properfume

Described herein are properfume compounds. Also described herein is a method to release a compound being a ketone or aldehyde, a formate ester and/or an alcohol by exposing a properfume compound to an environment wherein it is oxidized. Also described herein is a perfuming composition and a perfume consumer product comprising at least one properfume compound.

Enol ether pro perfume

Precursor or pro-fragrance compounds used as a precursor to deliver at least one fragrant compound that is capable of imparting an odor, in particular one which imparts an odor to a material, more particularly to a fabric or textile. The pro-fragrant compounds of the invention include fragrant alcohols (ROH) released from a compound of Formula I or in which Formula I is derived from (ROH) and encompass any fragrant alcohol having more than three carbon atoms. Also, methods of generating the fragrant compounds and to improve, enhance or modify odoriferous properties of a perfuming composition or a perfumed article are also disclosed, as are the resultant perfuming compositions and articles.

Pro-fragrance compounds

A compound is provided of Formula (I) wherein Rrepresents a Cto Chydrocarbon group derived from an alcohol of formula ROH, from a formate of formula ROCH&#x2550;O, or a cinnamyl aldehyde of Formula (II) wherein a compound of Formula I is capable of releasing a compound, when oxidized, selected from the group consisting of a fragrant alcohol of formula ROH, a fragrant formate ester of formula ROCH&#x2550;O and aryl aldehyde of Formula (III) wherein Ris, independently, hydrogen atom, hydroxyl group, optionally substituted C-Calkyl group, C-Calkoxy group, or &#x2014;O(C&#x2550;O)CH(CH3)wherein any two of Rmay form an optionally substituted 5 or 6 membered ring. The compounds are useful for example as a precursor for the prolonged delivery or release of fragrant compounds such as fragrant alcohols, fragrant aldehydes or fragrant formates.
