Fitting ring for an opening roller of an open-end spinning device

A spinning rotor for use at high speeds in open-end spinning machines has a rotor cup having an annular wall portion defining a rotor opening, a bottom wall portion merging with the annular wall portion, and a mounting hub extending exteriorly from the bottom wall portion. A rotor shaft is affixed to the mounting hub coaxially with the rotor cup. The merger of the bottom and annular wall portions of the rotor cup defines a maximum exterior diameter of the rotor and an interior rotor groove. The annular wall portion, the bottom wall portion and the mounting hub are of different cross-sectional thicknesses with the cross-sectional thickness of the bottom wall portion increasing from the rotor groove to the mounting hub. The wall thickness is less than 1.2 mm in the area of the maximum exterior diameter of the rotor cup () and the rotor cup has an aerodynamic exterior contour free of edges for deterring turbulent boundary layer air flow thereabout and an interior contour for promoting fiber spinning into a yarn.

Spinning rotor for open-end spinning machines

A channel plate for an open-end rotor spinning device for closing a rotor housing charged with underpressure in which a spinning rotor rotates, having a channel plate tower extending into the spinning rotor, in whose shell face the outlet opening of a fiber guide channel is arranged and in whose front side a yarn draw-off nozzle can be fixed. A concavely arched transition surface adjoins a cylindrical part of the shell face, and the channel plate tower has a diameter at the height of the rotor edge of the spinning rotor such that an annular gap of maximally 2 mm width between the spinning rotor and the channel plate tower results during spinning. At most one half of the outlet opening of the fiber guide channel is arranged in the area of the cylindrical shell face, and the remaining part in the arched transition surface. The wall area of the outlet opening remotest from the front side is at a distance to the center longitudinal axis of the channel plate at least 0.5 to 3 mm greater than the distance of the adjoining wall area in respect to the center longitudinal axis.

Fiber conduit plate for an open-end spinning device

A spinning rotor adapted to be seated in a spinning box of an open-end spinning machine and having an identification mark (,), preferably embodied as alpha-numeric characters, formed at a location on the rotor cup (,) at which the information content of the identification mark (,) can be visually determined while within the spinning box after opening and stoppage of the rotor but without removal from the spinning box, thereby permitting a user-friendly, time-saving and dependable visual check of the spinning rotor type.

In order that stray fibers do not settle in the rotor during the spinning start process at the spinning box of a rotor spinning machine, an openable air valve is provided for initially cleaned the rotor by delivering an air current into the rotor either by drawing ambient air through the valve as a consequence of the spinning vacuum or by blowing in compressed air through the valve. As an alternative to known spring-loaded ball valves pose the danger that the spring ceases to perform due to deposits of dust and fibers, the present invention provides a magnet arranged in association with the valve seat in the area of its valve opening to attract the ball, which consists of a magnetizable material, and thereby hold the ball in closed position.

Spinning box for an open-end spinning machine

An open-end spinning device with a forwardly open suctioned rotor housing, a high speed spinning rotor rotatably disposed in the rotor housing, and a fiber conduit plate for closing the forward opening in the rotor housing. The fiber conduit plate has an interchangeably disposed conduit plate adapter defining an opening from a fiber guide conduit into the rotor and a yarn take-off nozzle. The conduit plate adapter can be releasably fixed securely in place in a receptacle area of the fiber conduit plate by means of a central fastening arrangement comprising a threaded connection and a magnetic coupling between the fiber conduit plate and the conduit plate adapter.
