A device is described for establishing an electrical connection between a portable electronic instrument and an external device, the portable electronic instrument comprising a casing provided with a socket in which a plurality of electrical contact elements is disposed, this socket being shaped to permit the insertion of a plug-in adaptor which is electrically connected to the external device and comprises a plurality of electrical contact zones, each intended to come into contact with a corresponding electrical contact element in the socket. The electrical contact elements are disposed substantially perpendicularly to the direction of insertion of the plug-in adaptor, and the electrical contact zones extend substantially parallel to the direction of insertion of the plug-in adaptor. Also described is a system for recharging a battery of a portable electronic instrument comprising such a connection device, as well as a plug-in adaptor for such a connection device.

The invention concerns a patch antenna () for a small-sized portable electronic instrument comprising a radiating element () separated from a ground plane () by a dielectric () and comprising feed () and ground () conductors for electrically connecting said radiating element and said ground plane () respectively, to an electric module (). The ground plane () consists of a stamped metal plate including at least a folded foot () outside said ground plane and directly connecting said ground plane () to said electronic module (), said foot () forming said ground conductor () of the antenna.

Watchband antenna

The portable instrument with a wristband () includes an electronic circuit and a rechargeable power source for supplying the electronic circuit with electricity. The wristband includes two electric contact portions () arranged on a same strand () of the wristband and conductive paths () connecting the power source. The two electric contact portions () are intended to be placed on two complementary conductive portions of an electric charger to allow the power source to be recharged. A loop () can be brought into a blocking position above the contact portions () to cover and protect them.
