A suture assembly includes a translation assembly that is axially translatable within a working channel of an endoscope and is adapted to releasably secure and/or release a needle and a distal end cap that is securable to an end of the endoscope and is adapted to releasably secure and/or release the needle in order to pass the needle back and forth between the translation assembly and the distal cap. An attachment mechanism configured to releasably secure the distal endcap to an end of the endoscope.

Endoscope attachment mechanism for use with suture based closure device

A device includes including an elongated hollow member with a window for receiving tissue in an interior of the hollow member; a rigid member slidably coupled to the hollow member; and an actuation mechanism configured to move the rigid member longitudinally along a longitudinal axis through at least part of the window. When a ligation band is adjacent to the window and the rigid member is moved relative to the hollow member, the rigid member deforms the ligation band from an open position into a closed position around tissue received in the window.

A control handle for use with a suture device operable through an endoscope includes a grip attachment configured to be secured to an endoscope and a control housing operably secured to the grip attachment. A catheter housing is moveably disposed within the control housing and adapted to releasably secure the suture catheter such that translation of the catheter housing causes translation of the suture catheter. A lever is rotatably securable relative to the catheter housing such that rotation of the lever relative to the catheter housing causes the catheter housing to move relative to the control housing. A sliding tab is disposed relative to the lever such that movement of the sliding tab relative to the lever causes the suture catheter to translate relative to the control wire disposed within the suture catheter.

A suture assembly may include a needle having a cylindrical body with a sharp point on at least one end, a lumen extending transverse to a longitudinal axis of the cylindrical body, and a recess in communication with an opening to the lumen. A medical device configured to manipulate tissue within a body of a subject may include an elongate shaft having a proximal end and a distal end. The end effectors may include a needle pivotably coupled to the shaft and configured to inject a fluid into the tissue. The end effectors may also include an articulating arm pivotably coupled to the shaft, and a cutting wire extending between the needle and the arm.

Endoscopic tissue manipulation tool

A medical device for manipulating a portion of tissue. The device may have one or more opposing jaws. One of the jaws may be configured to be placed between the portion of tissue and an underlying portion of tissue, and have an orifice configured to direct a fluid towards a surface of the other jaw so as to move the portion of tissue towards the said other jaw. A fluid delivery channel may extend between the orifice and a fluid source. A switch may be operable to flow the fluid from the source, through the channel, and out of the orifice. Related methods are also disclosed.
