The invention provides a composition comprising the following A)-C): A) one or more monomers and/or oligomers; B) at least one chlorinated olefin-based polymer and/or at least one functionalized chlorinated olefin-based polymer; and C) at least one styrene-based block copolymer or derivative. The invention also provides a composition comprising the following D)-F): D) at least one compound selected from the following i) through v): i) Z&#x2014;(CRR&#x2014;O&#x2014;C(O)&#x2014;CR&#x2550;CH)(Formula 1, as described herein); ii) Z&#x2014;C&#x2014;[CRR&#x2014;(R)&#x2014;O&#x2014;C(O)&#x2014;CR&#x2550;CH](Formula 2, as described herein); iii) Z&#x2014;CR&#x2014;[CRR&#x2014;(R)&#x2014;O&#x2014;C(O)&#x2014;CR&#x2550;CH](Formula 3, as described herein); iv) O&#x2014;{CRR&#x2014;C(Z)&#x2014;[CRR&#x2014;(R)&#x2014;O&#x2014;C(O)&#x2014;CR&#x2550;CH)]}Formula 4, as described herein); v) a combination of two or more from Formulas 1 through 4 above; E) at least one chlorinated olefin-based polymer and/or at least one functionalized chlorinated olefin-based polymer; and F) at least one styrene-based block copolymer or derivative thereof.

Composition and an article of manufacture comprising the same

Halogen-free flame-retardant polymer composition, preparation method and use thereof are provided. The composition comprises a propylene polymer, a thermoplastic elastomer, and an intumescent flame retardant system comprising a piperazine component. The obtained halogen-free flame-retardant polymer composition is used to make wire or cable sheath.
