The system and method for correlating, predicting and diagnosing system component performance data includes capturing knowledge about system behavior, deploying the captured knowledge as baseline system behavior files, evaluating system performance data against the baseline system behavior files, performing predictive and diagnostic analysis when received system performance data exceeds thresholds in the baseline system behavior files, and notifying a user when an analysis result is generated. The method of capturing knowledge about system behavior includes defining problems to be solved, creating datasets that correspond to defined problems, constructing problem scenarios, associating data patterns modules with the problem scenarios, and generating XML definition files that characterize system behavior in terms of the scenarios, modules, and datasets. The system has the capability to activate corrective scripts in the target system and to reconfigure the target system. Detailed information on various example embodiments of the inventions are provided in the Detailed Description below, and the inventions are defined by the appended claims.

System and method for correlating and diagnosing system component performance data

A method and system for externalization of formulas for assessing bodily injury general damages. An insurance company may use an expert system to develop a knowledge base in the form of business rules and formulas to process insurance claims. The business rules may execute the formulas to assist an insurance claims adjuster in assessing bodily injury general damages. The task of creation and maintenance of the formulas, used in calculating a trauma severity value, may be automated by the externalization of formulas. The user may create a formula data table and use a translator program to create a static instance of a formula class of objects for each row in the formula data table. The business rules may invoke the calculate method to execute the formulas. Changing the data stored in the formula data table and using the translator program to create a static instance of a formulas class of objects for each row, may accomplish updating and/or customizing the formulas.

System and method for externalization of formulas for assessing damages

An improved method and system to display messages, while processing insurance claims, using a messages table. The messages associated with the processing of insurance claims are primarily used to obtain inputs from the user of the claims processing computer system. Messages, which are typically displayed on a display screen, may include questions, answers, errors, warnings, and other text used with interactive claims processing. The messages are stored as message codes along with a corresponding message text in a messages table. The database, which includes the messages table is the repository and the lookup system for the message codes and the corresponding message texts. Each message code has a corresponding customizable message text, which may be specified at installation time. The application program requests display of specific messages by referring to its message code. The application program, thus, remains unaffected to changes in the corresponding customizable message texts.

System and method for displaying messages using a messages table

The system and method for business systems transactions and infrastructure management includes a client side collection system and a server side system having the capability to communicate with the other over a secure communication path. The collection system extracts transaction and infrastructure data from a business system and transmits the extracted data to the management server over a secure communication path. The management server receives the extracted data over the secure communication path, compares it to threshold analyzes the data that exceed threshold values, and notifies a user of the results of the analysis. The management server also has the capability to activate corrective scripts in the client business system and to reconfigure the client business system.
