Apparatus and methods for transmitting an electrical signal in a wellbore. A tool comprising a wire mesh is introduced into a wellbore. The wire mesh is disposed along at least a portion of the axial length of the tool. An electrical signal is transmitted along the wire mesh to or from a wellbore device disposed in the wellbore.

A system can be used to perform one or more tasks in a wellbore. The system can include a downhole tool and a rotatable sleeve. The downhole tool can be positioned in a wellbore for performing one or more tasks associated with a wellbore operation. The rotatable sleeve can be positioned in the downhole tool. The rotatable sleeve can be rotated within the downhole tool into a first configuration and into a second configuration. In the first configuration, a first window of the downhole tool can be aligned with a second window of the rotatable sleeve to facilitate a first task in the wellbore. In the second configuration, the first window can be misaligned with the second window to facilitate a second task in the wellbore. The first task can be different than the second task.

The disclosed embodiments include multilateral completion systems and methods to deploy multilateral completion systems. A multilateral completion system includes a main bore completion having an inductive coupler, a lateral completion having an inductive coupler, and a second lateral completion also having an inductive coupler. The multilateral completion system also includes a junction having an inductive coupler, and a second junction having an inductive coupler. The multilateral completion system further includes a final completion having a first inductive coupler electrically connected to the inductive coupler of the main bore completion, a second inductive coupler electrically connected to the inductive coupler of the lateral completion, a third inductive coupler configured to couple to the inductive coupler of the second junction, and an electrical conduit running through an inner diameter of the junction, whereby the main bore completion, the lateral completion and the second lateral completion are all electrically connected in parallel.

Multilateral completion systems and methods to deploy multilateral completion systems

Provided herein is an intervention tool and a method for fracturing multiple lateral wellbores in a well system. The intervention tool, in one aspect, includes a radial outer housing, the radial outer housing forming an interior bore configured to flow fluid, and an expansion member coupled proximate an outer surface of the radial outer housing. The intervention tool according to this aspect further includes a sliding sleeve positioned along an interior surface of the radial outer housing and engageable with the expansion member, the sleeve including a collection of slots or catches configured to move the expansion member between a radially retracted position when the sliding sleeve is in a first linear position and a radially expanded position when the sliding sleeve is in a second linear position.

Multilateral multistage system and method

A main well bore is drilled. The main well bore is completed and stimulated. The main well bore is sealed. A lateral well bore is drilled off the main well bore. A junction that allows communication with the lateral well bore and that connects the main well bore is inserted. The lateral well bore is stimulated through the junction. The main well bore is unsealed, allowing comingled flow from the main bore and the lateral bore.

Provided, in one aspect, is a deflector assembly. The deflector assembly, in one embodiment, includes a deflector body having a deflector window located therein, and a deflector ramp positioned at least partially across the deflector window, the deflector ramp configured to move between first ({circle around (1)}), second ({circle around (2)}) and third ({circle around (3)}) different positions when a downhole tool moves back and forth within the deflector body.

A gravel pack flow path used to flow slurry fluids during a gravel pack phase may be closed or at least limited with a swellable metallic material prior to a production phase. An example apparatus may include a base pipe, a screen disposed about the base pipe, an inflow control device having an ICD flow path in fluid communication with an outer annulus between the screen and base pipe. The gravel pack flow path defined in part by perforations in a base pipe or by a secondary housing. A swellable metallic material is activated to close the gravel pack flow path in response to a reactive fluid.

A technique facilitates completion and stimulation of a reservoir, e.g. a lower tertiary reservoir. Initially a wellbore is drilled into the tertiary reservoir. Following drilling, the wellbore is completed by deploying completion equipment constructed to facilitate stimulation of the tertiary reservoir. The completion equipment may be operated in conjunction with a stimulation system to stimulate the tertiary reservoir and thus to enhance retrieval of hydrocarbon fluids contained within the tertiary reservoir.
